    I was on vacation and requested my dog to be seen for an infected toenail. Elliot diagnosed him with a psychological disorder that caused him to excessively lick his toenail and told me it was not infected after looking at it for less than 5 seconds. Was told it was psychological, not dermatological. My dog has had infected toenails before and this is how they present but I respected him as a professional so I decided to see if his treatment of steroid ointment would help improve the toenail. It made it 10 times worse and the toenail started oozing pus the next day. I called twice to request antibiotics and the first day I never got a response. So I called the next day and was told I would need to be seen and this would incur another charge after I already had paid **** for a misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment. I conveyed this to the clinic and was told I could come in and "take a shot" at just getting new treatment but after pressing the receptionist more on this she told me I would need to pay for an entirely new visit. I feel like they were exploiting me because I was a vacationer at Outer Banks. I would not recommend this clinic unless you want to "take your shot" and see if you will get the correct diagnosis. Went to my vet back home and was immediately told it was infected and had to get a shot of antibiotics on top of oral antibiotics. This was a complete waste of time and money.
