  Their website states that if you purchase their Discount Card (Which costs $99), you can then purchase a Pre-Order item for 50% off. It also gives an example which I will copy and paste here: Save on Pre-orders You will receive a 50 percent discount on all pre-orders. A few times a year we crate large releases that usually come with a book. You will be able to pre-order them at half price. So if you take the Butterfly Studies for example. The Retail Cost is $400.00 and the pr-order price is $300.00 However, if you have a Discount Membership you will be able to purchase for $150.00.Per their website - They currently have a book called Artful Embroidery for pre-order. It's retail price is $299. It's pre-order price is $225. With the Discount Card, the price is $150. I emailed them and stated that if they follow their website example, the Discount Card price for the Artful Embroidery should be $112.50. The excuse I received was that its retail price is $299 and with the Discount Card 50% off, the price is $150.I responded that if they would not honor their website example and let me purchase the Artful Embroidery for $112.50, I was going to file a complaint with the BBB for False Advertising. I have received no reply.

  To whom it may concern, I am not sure what the confusion is regarding this item. We have a membership club that clearly lists all savings for our members. All savings are based on retail prices.
  Those savings are 
  30% off everyday retail prices
  40% off education programs
  50% off of pre-orders
  All savings and sales are based on retail prices. 
  The idea behind the discount cards is that the members always save more than anyone else.
  
  
  The disputed product is retailing for ****** and ***** can pre-order for $150.00.  which is the best price..
  
  
  The general public can pre-order this particular product for $225.00 which is 25% off. 
  
  
  This customer wants to order the product for 50% off of the $225.00 so she basically wants to take a pre-order special that is worse and then combine it with her member discount and make up her own price.
  
  
  Again, our specials are based on retail price and the member price is always the best. I have never had a complaint in 20 years in business and we do thousands of pre-orders without incident.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  
  Mr. ****** knows exactly what the "confusion" is regarding the Artful Embroidery.  He also knows that I AM NOT making up my own price.  As I have stated numerous times, I'm simply going by the example provided on the Anita Goodesign website that explains how the Discount Card works regarding Pre-Orders. The online explanation for the Discount Card states that the Pre-Order cost for the Discount Member is 50% off the Pre-order price!!!

  I don't understand why Mr. ****** doesn't understand his own website explanation.

  Perhaps in 20 years of business, his customers accepted whatever price he charged them, without questioning the math.  Maybe math isn't one of their best subjects.

  Again, I am just going by the online Discount Card Explanation and doing the math.  Mr. ****** should stand by his website explanation and sell me the Artful Embroidery for $112.50.  Any amount charged OVER the $112.50 is FALSE ADVERTISING.
