Concepcion quoted us $16,400 to repair the "orange peel" texture on our walls and ceilings, estimating the project would take 4 to 6 weeks. After 4 weeks, he informed me the work was nearly complete, assured me it looked great, promised to send photos, and requested payment. Although we never received the promised pictures, we sent the check, trusting the good relationship we had built and believing him to be an honest professional.Last week, we visited the house to inspect the work and were deeply disappointed. The project was not completed to a professional standardmany corners of the walls and ceilings still had visible texture, and areas required touch-up sanding. The overall finish was sloppy, and I felt insulted that we had paid such a significant amount for such poor-quality work.I contacted Concepcion to address the issues, and he arrived the next morning. He explained that the curved corners were delicate and could be damaged if his team attempted further work. He offered a partial refund and expressed a desire to make us happy. However, I was frustrated by the amount of additional work required to fix the issues ourselves and concerned by his suggestion that further repairs might harm our home. He left, asking us to let him know how we wanted to proceed. After assessing the situation, I messaged Concepcion, requesting that he address the ceiling (which requires scaffolding) and the walls, while we handle the corners ourselves and accept a refund for that portion of the work. When he didnt respond, I followed up with a call and text but still received no reply. In my final message, I stated that his lack of response indicated he had no intention of fixing the issues and that a refund for the unfinished work would be acceptable. Again, there was no response. We are both surprised and disappointed by Concepcions lack of professionalism and failure to address the situation. Our disputed amount won't cover hiring a professional but can help.

I am rejecting this response because: It is clear that the work performed by Concepcion was incomplete and fell below professional standards. Despite quoting a timeline of 4 to 6 weeks, the work was prematurely ended after 4 weeks, leaving visible deficiencies in the quality of the finish described as "orange peel." Furthermore, while Concepcion initially acknowledged the incomplete work and mentioned providing a refund, it appears that he has since changed his position, which raises additional concerns about accountability and professionalism.

I have attached additional pictures. I can share more images, or I invite the BBB and/or lawyers to come inspect my house to see the mess.
