    changed my oil and didnt tighten my oil cap and pan correctly. it came off on the highway and all my oil came out of my car. i was stuck at a gas station 2 hours from home and it cost me a lot to get it towed home and fixed. my motor almost locked up because i was unaware of the situation until it was too late. this could have seriously been way worse and this is completely insane.

    In regards to this particular complaint, Customer came in for an oil change on August 6th 2022.  A full oil change was completed by one of our Certified Automotive Technicians and checked as always by a second Technician to make sure all plugs, filters and filler caps are in place and tightened per vehicle manufacturers recommendations.  The customer contacted our store on September 17th (Saturday) and spoke to our store Service Manager that she had her brother check the vehicle and that it looked like the oil cap was left off and that all the oil came out.  She was instructed that the owner (myself) was not in, that if she wanted to speak to me, she could call me back on the following Monday. She did not.  Next I heard about it is when BBB contacted us that they had tried to mail to us about the complaint and were wondering about a response. However, after searching through all our mail for the last couple of weeks, we found no evidence that any mail was sent to us from the BBB. 

     

    In the complaint it states the customer wants their money back for the oil change. If truly, all the oil came out, the engine would have seized and a customer would want way more than just a refund to an oil change.  Also, if the cap was left off, not enough oil would come out to make the vehicle seize as there is not enough pressure on the engine to push oil that way. My manager told the customer the bring the car in, and we would find out what happened and fix it. They refused. 

     

    At this time, we are not refunding any funds for this oil change. If the customer wants to speak to me, they can reach me at our store, Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm
