    Business is a puppy breeder. They used to be called Doodletown and changed their name to Red Door Canines. I had a contract with Doodletown that said deposits were not refundable. However the owner said she would refund my deposit in a text message. Now today in a text message she said she wont. I have a deposit for $500 for a puppy and a deposit for $500 for puppy training. I didnt receive either.

    Hi,

    I received a message that my complaint was transferred to your office. I would like to add to my complaint. I would also like to request $500 back for puppy kindergarten that I didnt get because I didnt get a puppy from the breeder. I dont see anything that says its non-refundable. So that would be $1,000 total. $500 for the puppy deposit and $500 for puppy kindergarten. 

    I have requested my deposit back from the breeder but she has been very rude, accusatory, cant get her dates or facts straight, and has not responded to my last couple messages. Her not responding is fine though and preferred at this point. She is not even tempered and I would prefer to not have contact with her anymore. I would like to have the BBB assist and be a middle person mediator please.

    I stand by the reservation agreement that the claimant attached.  The agreement states 5 times that this is a non refundable agreement.  ***** not only signed but initialed each point.  ***** also attached a screenshot of a text message between us where I said I would TRANSFER the reservation fee to ****** at Dunkin Doodles if she chose to go that route.  Not only has ***** never asked me to transfer the reservation fee, she never told me she had decided to go with the other breeder.  At no point did I offer a refund, only a transfer to the other program that I recommended. 

    As for the training, she was told at the time of scheduling the training that is was non refundable.  She scheduled training and then didn't get the puppy.  She also kept someone else from being able to schedule that 4 week time slot as we only take a limited number each session.  Therefore we forfeited the remainder of the training fee, which resulted in $900 in lost income.

    At this point we have discontinued communication with ********************* as she has moved on to another breeding program.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    The breeder that ******* said she would transfer the deposit to asked her about transferring the deposit and ******* said she wouldnt. Even though in the text she said she would. I did ask ******* myself to transfer it but she didnt respond. I dont see in the agreement for the puppy kindergarten where the  deposit is non refundable. I have chosen to not get a puppy from ******* or the breeder she said shed transfer the deposit to. I had convinced myself that an expensive breeder was the way to go but I dont think thats correct anymore.

    ******* was accusatory and unprofessional in her last correspondence to me. I didnt think Id get the deposit back but it wouldve been helpful if I did. I however did want to let other people know that the business can be unprofessional.
