I was searching for someone trustworthy to work on my 69 Chevelle. They gave me a list of all the things that needed done, and I spent a pretty good chunk on repairs. One of which was repairing the leaking rear differential. They charged me pretty close to what a new differential would be; unbeknownst to me at the time how they were going to repair it. I find out that they simply welded the existing. The weld has cracked and is leaking again; so I reached out and asked, first, why was it welded in the first place and how would they repair it Our technician did what they thought was best, rear differentials are hard to come by, theyd like to weld it again. Well why didnt you opt for a new rear differential from the start, since you charged me pretty close to what one cost? Theyre willing to work with me if I supply a new differential. What??

I have been working with Mr. ****** over the past few weeks to remedy his concerns with his vehicle. We've agreed to have him bring the vehicle back once he can arrange things on his end. He's a great customer and is agreeable to the solution we worked out together.

They were going to charge my wife $800 for a repair that was covered under a recall from *********

    Business Response

"Its unfortunate that the customer has incorrectly rationalized his position regarding our diagnosis and recommended repair. Our proposal was to replace a compromised fuel line which is located before the fuel rail and injectors, the latter of which is subject to the factory recall. Our general search for bulletins/recalls for related issues in our service information systems show no open recalls. However, the recall info the customer provided us is for the fuel rail and injectors, NOT the high-pressure fuel line that we identified as the cause of the leak. The ******** **** recall, in part, states the following: "...a leak may develop between the fuel rail and fuel injector due to trapped debris from the production process, which could affect the safety and emissions of the vehicle. Trapped debris might damage the seal between the fuel rail and fuel injector, which over the life of the vehicle, might result in a fuel leak into the engine compartment. Because this is NOT where we found the leak, our interpretation was the recall did not apply. MB, at its discretion, especially involving a recall, will typically perform the repair, or reimburse costs the customer incurs for repair performed elsewhere that covers a related issue, but is beyond the scope of the fuel rail and injectors as stated in the MB recall, to ensure system safety. MB dealers have latitude and is often done as a customer goodwill measure, but does not necessarily imply responsibility on behalf of MB. More importantly, did the customer receive the mandatory (by law) recall notice from either MB or NHTSA? And if so, why was there no action taken with MB before bringing the vehicle in to us for repair? We do our best to provide customers with information regarding recalls, bulletins, or notifications to help the customer with remediation from the manufacturer. I'm happy to show our protocol and the service information system we use to verify TSBs and recalls, and our findings for this vehicle."

I was referred to Christian Brothers by discount tire. Discount tires had installed rims on my car a few days ago right after that check engine, light and traction control came on my dashboard. I asked mechanic to look at my car. I called and asked for the manager at discount tires while I was still at the other mechanics shop. I overheard the manager of discount tire. My car was probably already like this. I immediately let him know that it wasnt already like this and I just wanted my car back to normal. He told me to go over to Christian Brothers and have him look at my car so I did. they overcharged me at Christian Brothers for four spark plugs and a coil $421 the same day those two indicator lights came right back on when I went up there to have them look at it. They said they would give me a ride to work and they wanted to keep the car inspections something happened where I couldnt get to work I almost became late to work so I told them I didnt have a choice but to take my car so that I could get to work on time and the lights came back on they reset the lights indicator lights. I told him that I would let them know my complaint with them their pricing its very high. I believe they should reimburse me for the service theyve done especially since its looking like theyre not gonna be able to fix my car properly since Ive had three days to do it. This all started Wednesday and now today is Friday they have my car overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. Then I brought it back up there for four more hours today and they just seem to have too many other customers to tend to to really help me and I dont have time for this and at the same time they overcharge I just want my money back
