Im 54 years old and have never written a negative review and have no desire to write this one.I purchased two ****** luxury watercraft (VX1800 models) from Interstate in 2021.Both machines almost wound up at the bottom of ***************** because of a design defect in the hull. The first at the end of 2022 and the other in the spring of 2024. I say almost because both machines were close enough to the shoreline to be swum in while slowly sinking. The machines never hit anything in the water, nor we subjected to any ******** was disappointing to spend almost 15k in repairs, but that is NOT why I am writing this review. After repeatedly reaching out to Interstate and once to the ****************** over 6 months and getting no response or vague responses, it was time for me to move on.Ive moved on by purchasing a new watercraft from ***************** Powersports with the intention to purchase a 2nd one ********** long Interstate and ******. You wore me out!

Mr. *********** is no "known defect" on the VX1800 hull. The damage to your hull was caused by your ports. Improperly pulling your ski onto a port can damage any ski, regardless of the manufacturer. The damage to your skis was considered physical damage, and the impact was evident. This is similar to hitting a curb or a large pothole with your car, which is physical damage and not covered under warranty. This was explained to you in detail.Furthermore, Interstate Cycle does not have a body shop or fiberglass repair shop. Such repairs are referred to a local professional, as you were. We sell 250 to 300 skis per year, and hull damage to VX1800 skis is extremely rare, almost always caused by hitting something in the lake or improper port design.

I was not informed that using the plastic docking platforms might crack the hulls. If that warning had happened, I would have avoided using that solution in the first place. Also, if there are no known defects in the hulls, and this problem is entirely of my own making why:1) would you offer to fix the locked motor for free in one of them?2) were there hundreds of ****** wave runners at the fiberglass shop getting work done on their hulls versus just dozens of your competitor's brand? (Sea-Doo) This problem could have easily been avoided with a simple warning from you at time of purchase. That lack of communication on your part that will end up costing me 20k plus to fix when I factor in replacing the plastic docking platforms. Please do me a favor (and yourselves) and warn all your future customers to stay away from floating plastic docking platforms.
