A package was shipped to me on December 29, 2022 with a ps5, clothes and documents. The package was supposed to arrive on the Jan 3, 2023. The contents did not get here until the January 10th with the box torn up and seemed to be open retaped and the top was all opened up. I talked to UPS customer service on the 11th of January to see what happened. They said to open the box all contents may still be inside even though the box was messed up and looked open at top. I did that and found the PS5 missing and my important documents such as my birth certificate as well. The customer service person told me to file a claim saying the box was damaged and items were missing. He could not do anything else. I filled out a claim and I had to talk to the UPS store in ******** ****. I told them about the box and the missing PS5 on January 11. They said they will call me back. I called again on January 12th they said they will call me back. I than was given a sorry we missed your package delivery sheet on January 12th which I did not even know they wanted the package. I called up UPS on January 13th to find out whst time or what is going on. They said they need the package and will come around any time to pick it up. I said where is the store at and I will drop it off. The customer service representative on the phone sounded shocked and said you are going to take it to ******** NJ. I said yes. When I took the package that night to the UPS at ******** NJ they looked at me like I was crazy when I told them the package was a send back and told me not with a box looking like that. I than said you guys are the ones that made the box look like that. The older guy said that we do not do things like that and the all packages are not looked at. I said this package you did and I have pictures before to show it. I did talk to the person shipping it. It was a lowes box that came in and the people at ******** **** told him that they would need to prepackaged it into a UPS box
