I made a purchase on R&R ironworks website for an advertised price. (1/16/24). I was immediately emailed a description of my purchase. The following morning when checking credit card charges I noticed that the purchase had been charged to my card. Later that day (1/17/24) I receive a phone call from the company and they tell me the price was wrong and they were not going to sell me the product for the price they advertised. They offered a different price to me but I denied, because it was not in my budget. During that phone call we did not resolve the issue. The following day (1/18/24) I called back to try and resolve the issue. I talked to a different person in the company this time and was told again that they would not sell me the product for what I purchased it for and I could buy it at a different price or they would refund my money. I did not agree that I wanted my money refunded. Later that afternoon I received an email that my ordered had been refunded against my wishes.

We had explained to **** that the gentleman who set up our online sales on the website made a typo on that one specific truss size (28 lean to at $225 and should have been $525). where it would have normally been more than double of what he saw. We thanked him because we were unaware. After he made his purchase and knew it was a fraction of what it should be, his neighbor proceeded to purchase 28 of them. We tried to call and explain this to him but he would not work with us. I offered to refund him either way and I would still sell them for a discounted price but we would be losing thousands at the misrepresented price he saw that was a mistake. We appreciate our customers and love to work with them.

I am rejecting this response because: My neighbor (who was a returning customer) made the purchase of 28 trusses roughly 12 hours before I purchased 6. In that window if something was wrong and the company stood to loose thousands of dollars as they claim you would think a correction would have been made after the initial purchase of 28 trusses. The company continues to pass blame and make apologies but feels they should suffer no penalty for the mistake that was made on THEIR website, which they did not responsibly review before going live. The discounted rate that was offered to me was still double what my budget would allow. I know the company feels they should not loose money but what about my money? After seeing this advertised price on a Thursday I spent time and money on clearing a pad for a building, then made the purchase the following Monday evening. It is extremely frustrating to try to work with a company that does not represent the values they claim.
