Elite Carports put up a new metal garage and within a week 2 pieces of the trim were blown off / broke loose. I have contacted " *****" there, Ther work number is ************. Every time i call i get the same story that they are working on it. 3 months is way to long to " work on it".Customer Answer

I live in ********. I bought a garage from Elite Carports who is based in **************. My order date was 02/01/2025, At that time I gave them a deposit of $647.39. The remaining balance of $6,214.98 was due upon *************** took a few weeks (after giving the deposit) for me to hear from their scheduler (******). After some back and forth discussion on dates, I was given an installation date of Tuesday April 1 2025. The installers actually showed up on Monday March 31 2025; one day early.I was extremely confused. I was not prepared. was even scheduled to work that day. I reached out to ******. She did not respond. I decided to make the best of the situation. I took off work and let the guys install the garage. The first issue came up when the head installer told me he wanted an extra $150 for his crew of installers because of all the work that would need to be done. I was instantly put on the defensive because the price I paid for the shed was supposed to include installation. At no point was I informed that the installers would perform a shakedown on me and hold my install hostage if I didn't give them more money. So I agreed because I felt like I had no other choice. About 2 weeks after the install, one of the roll-up doors will not close. It is stuck in the open position. I noticed the roll-up doors had been installed incorrectly. The brackets are warping and the doors are sitting lower on one side than the other. This is causing a misalignment and the doors are stuck in the tracks. I sent an e-mail to ***** on April 18th. I got no response. I called and spoke to her on the 21st or 22nd of April. I explained the situation. I referred her to my e-mail with the pictures. She said she would have it taken care of but it would have to be a time when a crew is in my area. I have not heard from her since. I sent a follow-up e-mail on April 28th. March 6th building construction began. March 7th the building was finished. March 7th after completion a check was handed over for $11,967.31. March 7th I spoke with ******* who works at Elite Carports and expressed there were some issues that needed to be fixed. I complained that now that they had a check from me that I was concerned they would cash the check and not address the issues. I was assured they would come back and fix the issues. It has now been a month of calls and emails with pictures provided and no resolution. They refuse to return my calls. I have spoken to ***** who works at Elite Carports and was told many times they would fix the issues. Spoke with the salesman ***** from ***************************, the sales company and he also told me they would come back and fix the issues free of charge. I have requested to speak with the shop manager to get an understanding of why these issues happened. To this day no one has called me back. April 1st I had a person call me claiming to be from the *************** and he had a work order to come and fix my issues. His name was *********. He came by on the morning of 4/2 and did a walk through to inspect. I was informed he did not have all the materials needed to complete the repairs. He was to call the office and call me back. Never happened. I called the office to get clarification and spoke with ***** who was clueless to ********* being dispatched to do repairs. Was promised a call back and it never happened. There is so much more to be told and pictures that can be provided but I am limited to ********************************** and I can explain more, provided pictures and send more documents.Customer Answer

I own and operate Elite Carports and Steel Buildings, a totally separate business/company from this "company". Their shoddy/shady work ethics have left their clients seeking to leave reviews referring to their workmanship/business ethics.. I GET THOSE REVIEWS! Over the past 2 months I've received more than 6 negative/does not recommend reviews on my ******** business profile and 1 negative review left on my business BBB profile, reviews meant for this company here.This clients eventually remove their reviews once I've hunted down their contact numbers on ****** and inform them of the issue, but only ONE out of 6+ people have actually found this company's BBB profile to leave their reviews. I am an ********************* member. I would not recommend this company. I was apprehensive due to their low prices, and I was right. I worked with **** ***** during the process, and although he was professional over the phone, his company's follow-through drastically underperformed.I contracted them to build a 24 ft x 50 ft structure to use as a horse barn. I signed the contract on ******* and was told there was a 5-8 week lead time. After reading reviews, I asked them to incorporate a money-back guarantee, and they placed it in the contract. I submitted my site photos the same day. Today is 1Jan24, and I still do not have a barn on site. Due to their lack of professionalism, I had to spend additional money to ensure my horses didn't die from the elements.When I contacted Elite Carports, who they subcontracted it to, they told me they were behind due to the Holidays (which occur every year at the same time) and that they were unable to dispatch a truck from ** without 20 thousand dollars of material onboard. I was also given several future dates for installation, none of which they met. Their lack of operational planning is unfathomable.BUYER BEWARE! THIS SEEMS LIKE A ************* I feel bad for anyone who contracts with them because their standard contract states no refunds are issued. This means they can install the barn whenever they want, and maybe not at all if they choose!THE OWNER'S SUBSEQUENT ****** REVIEW RESPONSE IS INSULTING, AND HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF! The Holiday Season is not an acceptable excuse, as Elite Carports shut down operations for nearly four weeks. They stopped erecting structures over a week before Christmas and do not plan to resume operations until after the 6th of January 2025!I request that the BBB get involved and apply pressure to have my structure installed, and compensation applied to offset the hundreds of dollars I have expended due to their negligence.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: It does not resolve the issue or alleviate the damages. You still cannot provide an install date. I ask that this complaint be published on the website to prevent future customers from being taken advantage of. I would also like for this complaint to be escalated to mediation for resolve.
