      On 11-10-24 I paid JR ********************** of Tomberlin Masonry $1000.00 to start the job.He laid slab of concrete 32 feet by 12 feet on the back of the house . Then I paid him $2500 when he got ready to pour concrete and $1500 when he finished. The first time it rained I found water standing up against the house in a couple of places. He came out and looked at it and said he would fix it. But never showed up.After calling him a few more times he never showed up.Then he just quit answering my calls.

      Yes I was contacted 4 months after I completed the job. The issue is theres no gutters on the house so all the water from the whole left side of the house, pours down onto that concrete, and it has washed away the aggregate of the concrete So now there is a low spot there. I was told after we finished that he was getting gutters!!!! After I went and looked at it two weeks ago, my mother had a stroke and I have not been able to get back over there and he has called me One day and thats it. However, I dont feel responsible for what he has neglected to do to his home to ensure that water doesnt dump on the concrete continuously   Even though concrete is very hard water constantly drifting on it or wash it out and thats whats happening at his home. Hence, the reason four months later, he is complaining. I plan to report that once he has gutters because in tool van, I will be back in 4 to 6 months with the same complaint

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Thats not true .I called after the first time it rained.He talked like it would be hard for him to fix ,l was tired of messing with him,but after awhile of me sweeping water off the concrete every time it rained.I said to myself why should I have to keep doing this. He was paid to do a job,he messed up and should have to fix it.He also did my sidewalk and it looks bad but I can live with it.

      We had to get water to go somewhere. Because of the slope of the pad it had to drain on that side. Again he said he was getting gutters which would eliminate the water all together. Also he wrote a bad check and cost me a few hundred dollars in overdraft fees but Im willing to live with that. If the only solution is a repour then Ill schedule it for July. But this isnt right. *** never had a customer complain 4 months later. Ill redo it mid July
