***** came out and paved my driveway with concrete. He also proposed to add soil to my front lawn and seed it. There's a gravel drive leading from the street up to my concrete driveway. Soil was delivered onto the gravel portion and they then dragged a good bit of gravel onto my lawn with the soil. I had to pick it all out by hand in order for my grass to grow. Unfortunately, that led to a bigger problem The gravel is shared with my neighbor. We split the cost of a "tar and chip" driveway on the shared gravel portion. This is tar and then a fine coat of gravel over the top. ***** installed the neighbor's drive first and left it undisturbed. Theirs came out very nice. However, since he dragged so much of my original gravel out to my lawn, there was not a sufficient base for his tar and chip. The result was that I have ground water & dark spots showing in the gravel, and since it didn't have a solid base to adhere to, it's very loose. He also drove his heavy trucks over the gravel when it was still fresh, which put tire tracks and essentially ruined it, I showed this to *****. He said he takes pride in his work and will always do the right thing. He said he'd come back and re-do that portion of the driveway, as well as fix the tire tracks. I asked him to re-roll the entire driveway and not drive over it afterward. Two weeks later, he did a small patch job. He didn't re-roll it (this would have taken minutes). He advised that the gravel doesn't match because it's new, but will all match after the next rainfall. That was over a month ago. Now, the gravel doesn't match so it looks awful. The tire tracks were never rolled out so I have large mounds of tar in some spots and loose gravel everywhere else. Tar is all over the place on hot days. The gravel is also pulling away from the edge of the concrete drive, which is causing the edge to chip away. ***** won't return my calls or texts and won't stand by his shoddy work. Big talk, no action.
