      The SOD this farm sold me had issues. I called the same day it was delivered to complain about the condition and the quality of it. As we begin to lay it down we noticed it was yellowing and badly torn. We further inspected the other pallet and noticed it was brown and and yellow as well. He refused to rectify and attempted to blame me.

      First of all, this lady did not buy this sod from us.  A Landscape and Nursery business bought the sod from us and then resold the sod to her.  I don't know how she can file a complaint against a company she did do business with but I will do may best to provide information about the complaint.

      The sod was harvested on Wednesday August 17 as requested by our customer, the landscape business.  Our customer picked it up on Wednesday and from what i was told delivered it to her on Thursday, August 18th.  She did call on Thursday and advised the sod pieces were 'thick' and 'thin' meaning the soil on the bottom was not consistent.  Did not complain about it being yellow or brittle.  She was advised the sod was be fine, to install and this will go away.  She called this Saturday after hours and left a message complaining the sod was yellow and brittle with ragged edges. 

      The first thing that happens when sod is left on a pallet too long is it turns yellow.  Plants need sunlight to stay green(Photosynthesis).  Doesn't mean it's dying but it does need to be installed as soon as possible.  After installation, it normally greens right back up when exposed to the sunlight.

      As far as the rolls being brittle with ragged edges, this also happens when the sod is left on the pallet too long.  The sun will dry out the edges and they become brittle.  Sod is mainly dirt and dry dirt will get brittle.

      From speaking with my customer and the several conversation I've had with her, she did not install the sod in a timely manner.  Actually, she advised two pallets were never installed period.

      I have attached three pictures.  This is the same sod, centipede, that she received.  It was harvesting in the same field and palletized just as the pictures provided.  If I leave that sod out in the hot sun for two or three days, it will start exhibiting the same issues as described by the complaintant.

      All this can be corroborated by our customer.  I will provide name and number if requested.
