  Cabarrus County Health and ***** Services suggested CareYaya for a caregiving service for my senior parents. HHS did not have direct experience with CareYaya. There website has no phone number. You have to schedule a student caregiver to come out to my parents before they'll even talk to you on the phone. They do have email. When asked via email for information, they said make the appointment for someone to come out then they'll call me to discuss the program. They were responsive to emails. I booked the appointment for a 2hr visit with my parents. They called, we discussed the service after which I wanted to only have 1hr visit for introductions. They charge $25 per hr for visits. They told me they'd change my appointment to 1hr and said there is a $10 cancellation fee once I'm assigned a caregiver. I told them ************* is only 15 min from my parents and expected a student caregiver from that University.Three days later I was assigned a caregiver 80 miles from my parents and was still assigned a 2hr visit not 1hr. They don't let customers change the appointment online at this point, only cancel. Emailed them 3x over two days, about the 80 mile distance problem and changing it to 1hr visit. Not a peep from them. I cancelled it. They collected their $10 and still not a peep. This place is no professional and I feel SCAMMED. I would not trust them now. I'm notifying HHS about this experience so they do not recommend CareYaya to anyone else. No student caregiver is going to drive 80 miles to provide 1-2hr of caregiving 1x a week for $25 hr and worse still, CareYaya went into radio silence to my inquires about getting someone closer to home.
