      EvGo does unauthorized charges. Like other complaint on BBB. They make the payment process easy, do holds and pre-authorized charges, but give the runaround when it comes to refunds. To start they charged me for services and products I never received. Some unknown person rented a car I rented prior. The car was still registered to my EvGo app, although it had been returned and removed from my **** driver app. When I disputed the transactions, EvGo refused to refund the money I paid for something I did not use. My chase **** was logical enough to cancel 4 of the 6 transactions. And has disputed the remaining two. I had my card on file. It is closed and they still charged my **** account despite never authorizing them to make this transaction. Especially considering I never received service or product. This wiped out 70-80% of the $ in that account. Causing unwarranted stress from late fees, holds, etc...Today almost 1 year later I went to an EvGo charger with a new car. Was not able to charge. Called and they said they escalated the case from previous charges to be reviewed and it would take up to 48 hours. Within 1 hour they charged me for all 6 transactions to my **** account. So Im now unable to charge, waisted time I could have used to drive and make money. Can not recommend EvGo. Only company I can't recommend ever because I consider this theft. After so many attempts to bill me EvGo needs to have a system in place that triggers unauthorized payments. Like any debit or credit card. They can easily clarify with their third parties **** and **** i did not have the car that received EvGo product or service.

      I am writing to file a complaint against EVgo regarding the suspension of my free charging plan for my ****** bZ4x. EVgo has suspended my access based on the claim that my charging usage indicates rideshare or commercial driving, which is not accurate as I use my vehicle solely for personal purposes. Despite their assertion that they would verify my rideshare status, they have not provided any evidence to support their claim. My appeals and requests for documentation have been ignored, and customer support has not resolved my concerns. This lack of transparency and fairness in their business practices has caused significant inconvenience and financial impact. I seek the BBBs assistance in facilitating a resolution by ensuring that EVgo provides the necessary evidence to support their claims and reinstates my access to the charging plan. Additionally, I request that the BBB help hold EVgo accountable for their lack of transparency and unfair business practices.

      EVGo lied about signing up for plan to cover vehicle EV Charging , I signed up for membership which was supposed to bill me for charging once a month on the plan I chose right, Well no furthest from the truth, I was billed each time and also had pre authorizations holds removed from my account $1700.00 bucks is missing from my account and ********************** literally was the only merchant I wasn't supposed to be being charged for using at all during the time. Yet I have over 33+ transactions of any where from $3.00 up to $60 transactions at a time , some where multiple on the same day so 3x $30. Seriously oh and the. The actual amount I used of $17 post but the pre authorizations never dropped off and my money replaced ever. It's a scam and they play with your money. It didn't take 5 to 7 days for it to be removed from my money **** sure shouldn't take 5 to 7 days to put back into my account either, especially considering you had not business removing my money in the first place as you were to send me a monthly billing statement once a month. Which I have still yet to get. Thai is ridiculous , you want me to send you documents but can't send me exactly the transactions you charged and pre authorized to my account and card as I asked for and have a right to receive. Absolutely not sending you anything but my my attorneys info if you don't get my money back to my account with the next ***** .. This is not okay even a gas station doesn't pre-authorize $1700 buck seriously, I call I get the oops will fall off statement ill escalate return call in 72hrs to 7 days wait what no absolutely not we aren't talking $5 or $10 bucks here ***** we talking $1,700 bucks just in minbo. Thera no patience and waiting. I have bills to pay family to feed. This is supposed to be helping save money, yet I get screwed over and I am out $1700 bucks wth.

      We have researched the customer's information in our internal system. We have also checked all of our billing portals and her transactions only add up to $103.96. These are all for valid charging transactions and the invoices can be found through her EVgo account. Any additional charges seem to be temporary pre-authorizations and will not post to her bank statement.
