I purchased shoes for my husband for the first time at this store. It was recommended to me by a young guy while my daughter and I were out shopping. I normally purchase his shoes online at a particular site so I had an idea of how much they were. I got to the store and found the shoes and asked the price. They were about $30 over what I would pay online but I wanted to insure I got them before Christmas. Now comes the complaint, and where I feel very sick to my stomach. BEFORE I gave the guy my card I asked him the return/exchange policy, in which he states, as long as you have the receipt you can return or exchange for infinite. That should have been a red flag to me, but I purchased them anyways. I get home later to find that the receipt says no returns/exchanges!!!

This is no buyers remorse, this is remorse from buying from a business that can blatantly lie to your face and shove your receipt in your bag without regret. Only to get a sale? Even if the prices are higher compared to what I could have purchased knowing that there was an actual store that was not extremely over priced was nice. Now I am disgusted and upset to know that people are lying just to get a sale!!!

    Business Response

Good afternoon, I am sorry you had an unpleasant experience at Courtside. Our return policy states we do not accept returns, but we do accept exchanges without time bound. This is clearly stated on the signage behind the register. We have never offered returns, nor have my employees been instructed to communicate this to customers "to make a sale". We offer a pressure-free shopping experience to our customers, and employees are trained to do so. If you were unhappy with your purchase, you could have visited us in-store and we would have been glad to explain and resolve your concern. However, you stating you had no intentions on returning or exchanging your purchase, I am unsure why this compliant was filed in the first place.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

As stated by the responder I did not intend to return the shoes. I filed the complaint because I asked the sales guy the return policy BEFORE I purchased the shoes, and he lied to me.  As mentioned in the initial email it was my first time shopping at the store so lesson learned in not reading the monitor behind the register.  I made the complaint to make the business aware that false information was provided to a customer! I just never thought I would get lied to just to make a sale.  People ask questions assuming they will receive accurate information from "trained" workers.  I see no resolution as it seems like the responder did not understand my complaint nor care about my experience.  I just know in the future to research companies I plan to purchase from and not go on the word of "trained" employees.

    Sincerely,
