      My husband contacted McManus Heating and Air in November 2023 because our heat was only working intermittently and would not heat the house above 65 degrees. Several technicians came out and were able to diagnose a few issues with the unit and that it needed a new motherboard. He advised that he would order the parts and contact us. I understood that with the holidays it may take some time, but we tried to call to follow up several times a week from December until last Friday with no response back from the technicians. They take a message when we call and then we hear nothing back. I called 5 times myself last week with no response. Its been over 6 weeks of no heat at all because they disconnected it and weather in the teens. The inside of my house is 50 degrees with a 4 year old, a 71 year old, and my husband who just got out of heart surgery. At the very least they should have the decency to call back and update us or tell us if they didnt want to do the job so we could contact someone else.

      I apologize for the lack of communication. I was under the impression that the office staff had informed the customer that the repair was not a project we wanted to take on and that the customer would need to find another company/ contractor to try and resolve the issues with their system.

      On 10/28/2022 they installed a new HVAC system worked fine for a couple of days, wake up some morning no heat. Called hem in November they come out get the system running for a while, next morning no heat, called them December 1, 2022, they come out hook up to one thermostat works fine for about hour and then cuts off no heat, Paid for new unit why don't they just instal a new thermostat. This unit cost me over $7000 dollars I'm currently recovering from Prostate cancer and I'm 100 percent Disabled veteran I just some someone to do their job, If they Had said Mr ******** I don't think we make this system work I would found someone else.

      A FAULTY BYPASS DAMPER IN THE EXISTING ZONED DUCT SYSTEM WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM.  WE REPAIRED THE DAMPER, AND THE SYSTEM IS WORKING CORRECTLY NOW.

      MY APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY IN ANSWERING THIS COMPLAINT.

      On 1/3/22 I called **** McManus' business with a heating issue, they came out promptly to resolve the issue, the same day that I called them. **** was the service provider and advised me the ac/heating unit needed freon, he added the freon and advised there was a leak and the part was under warranty until March of 2022, I advised **** I would let him know to order the part before the warranty expired. I contacted **** by text message on 2/18/22 and authorized him to order the part (he previously advised me even though the part was under warranty the labor was about $850 and I was okay with that). **** responded on on 2/18/22 letting me know he would get the part ordered. I have tried several times to contact **** by text and phone with no success. After about 5 to 6 phone calls **** called me back, on 5/27/22, and I explained the situation to him and he said **** passed away in March and **** is not handling the business and he would have **** call me, never got a call from ****, I called **** again 7/5/22 and again **** told me he would have **** call me. As of today **** has not return my calls or text messages. The reason I waited so long to check on it, I thought it was just taking a long time to get the part due to the pandemic. I want what was agreed to because the part is no longer under warranty, according to what **** told me months ago. I have the text messages from **** and the dates of the failed attempted text messages and phone calls if needed.

      **** had obtained the warrantied part from the manufacturer, and we are willing and available to install the part at the customer’s convenience.  If she would either tell you, or contact our office (I assure you she will be called back within minutes) and we can confirm the date she would like installation, we will gladly install it.  Again, we are very sorry for this situation.
