    I started the process of having Morris Chimney install a wood stove in August of 2021. I paid for the stove up front and then paid a deposit for the other material that would be needed. Michael said he received the stove but it was missing a piece. He continually told me the manufacturer was delayed but that it would get resolved. Winter came and went with no stove. Then I couldn’t contact him for months. Finally in summer ‘22 he sent the stove back but told me there was no refund because he waited too long. But all I wanted was a stove installed so I paid for another and he ordered. He said we would settle up the money difference after the job was done. I still owed for part of the original job so paying for a second stove covered that. He would’ve owed me around $900 after completion which I was willing to work with him on. A full second winter went by with no stove. And now I haven’t been able to reach him in 4.5 months. At this point I either want the stove installed or a full refund

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.  In addition to filing this complaint I have called, texted, and emailed the business with no response.

    My apologies for this being drug out so long.  I will be back in town by Friday the 4th. I will call we we can work out a solution that works for you. Thank you for being so patient and working with me throughout all the issues that arose.

    On October 22, 2021, Michael of Morris Chimeny came out to inspect two chimneys at our home. We paid a deposit of $499.58 for resurfacing both chimney crowns and installing two caps. Michael said he would need to order parts, but the work should be completed immediately after Thanksgiving of 2021. The work has still not been completed. I have called, texted, and emailed Michael - often weekly - inquiring about the timeline for this work to be completed. He has been elusive and largely unresponsive. On June 13, 2022 I finally told him that I just wanted a refund of our deposit and that I would find someone else to do the work. He said he would refund the portion of the deposit that did not include the inspection, and once he returned the chimney caps he had ordered, he would return that money. I have still not received a refund or communication from Michael. I have voicemails as well that I can provide from Michael, but I have included our text messages between June 13, 2022 and the present, as well as our original invoice from Morris Chimney, and a bank statement.
