David Groomas took money for materials and did not pay for the materials nor deliver the materials. He also took money for services and only provided a small subset of the services. He does not show up as agreed. I cancelled part of the work due his non-performance and after many promises, he still failed to deliver as agreed. I am not the only victim. **************************************************************************************************************

In February 2022, we contracted ************* to renovate our Master Bath and Powder room. The total contract, labor only, was for $21000. We purchased all plumbing fixtures, tile, paint, and vanities for both bathrooms. ******* purchased (at our expense) and installed the ******** heated floor system. ******* brought in his own demo team, tile and plumbing people. The heated floor system was to have a 15 year warranty with testing of the floor done and submitted to ******** within 14 days. It was not completed in a timely manner after contacting Mr. ******* over 18 times. He gave us various excuses. Now he tells us he can't complete the necessary tests because of a cable buried in the floor.
We were also notified by our exterminating company of a leak under our Master Bath. We contacted our plumber, at our expense, to have the leak repaired. (Our Plumber is a plumbing inspector for both North Carolina and South Carolina.) Our plumber informed us that the plumbing for our bathroom was not done to code and, should we want to sell our house, it would not pass inspection. Our plumber estimated repairs at $2500.
