I got 7 quotes to pour concrete slab 12*24 to finish off my existing patio/pool area. Quote was higher than some but I decided to go with them b/c ****** mentioned he does concrete all the time, building trees they have an engineer on the team. He gave me 2quotes one for retaining wall one for just dirt. ****** recommended I do the dirt option based on my layout of yard and I told him I was putting hot-tub on slab afterwards. It was the higher cost but based on his recommend I went with the dirt even though the other quotes rec retaining wall. 1st day they crushed my pool runoff pipe they cut off 4-5 ft and tried to fix it and dug up the other pipe they crushed. The day comes for the concrete to be poured and they dont put crushed gravel or rebar down and I question why not, ****** said no doesnt need it. They poured the concrete left a mess behind didnt even clean up where they got concrete on my pool fence. No lines to match my existing concrete. ****** demanded the rest of payment to pay for materials. I paid then worker pulled the boards off within 60 mins of pouring and then left 31 mins later ,I have it all on camera. I reached out 2 ****** showing him that it was cracked, voids everywhere and the dirt washing away from underneath. He sent people out 2 fix issues 3 times and 2of times they asked for payment 2 fix it and ****** wouldnt pay them so they continued 2 ask me for more money. I told them I paid ****** he was suppose 2 fix what I paid for. Communication from the day I paid the deposit has been awful, his texts do not make sense. Requesting refund for the concrete slab because it is continuing 2 fall apart from underneath, it was not installed correctly. I paid to remove a full sidewalk and only a piece was removed- ****** did not credit me 4 not removing the other 5 slabs. Workers who came 2 fix the concrete all told me this was really bad job I will not be able to put posts up or hottub on. The reason why I was adding the additional concrete.

We understand the clients concerns and regret that she is unhappy with the final outcome. However, its important to clarify that a signed contract was in place detailing the scope of work, methods, and materials, which she reviewed and agreed to prior to the project beginning. No work was done without client approval.

The client was advised on the best solution for her property layout, especially regarding support for a future hot tub. Based on that recommendation, she opted for the dirt-fill option instead of a retaining wall

Regarding the concrete installation: standard procedures were followed as specified in the agreement. Any weather-related erosion or post-installation concerns were promptly addressed through multiple visits. At no point was the client forced to pay additional fees

While we acknowledge some setbacks, the clients demand for a refund is not supported, as the project was completed per the agreed terms. We always strive for client satisfaction and addressed all reported concerns in good faith.

I am rejecting this response because:I signed an agreement that just stated Install Concrete 1111*245. Concrete should have crushed gravel beneath it not just the ground. I paid for a concrete install that was not prepped or poured correctly. The concrete was suppose to match my existing concrete lines and it does not. They were supposed to remove the full sidewalk and did not they only removed 3 pieces not the full 7. I specifically asked ****** in a text You think dirt option would be better than retaining wall instead based on that map plan he replied Yes I do this everyday. Clearly dirt was not the best option because its bleeding out from underneath still. I cant place a hottub or posts on it because the concrete was not done properly. Its continuing to crack in other areas because it was not poured properly. I paid **************************************************************** my backyard that causing more damage to my yard. Every person ****** sent afterwards asked for more money and I told them to call ******. I am not paying more money for something I already paid for. They all told me the concrete job was really bad should of had retaining wall. I was completely misled and I overpaid for work that was not done properly.

Mrs ********************* you for taking the time to share your concerns. We understand your frustration, and we truly regret that your experience has not met expectations. Your feedback is important, and we want to assure you it has been reviewed carefully.

That said, we do want to clarify a few key points:

Throughout the project, we communicated with you regarding optionsincluding your inquiry about using dirt versus a retaining walland based on that discussion, you agreed to move forward with the option provided. At the time, this was deemed the best solution, and you acknowledged and approved it.
Regarding the concrete alignment and cracking, concrete can be subject to hairline cracking over time due to various factors including settling, weather conditions, and soil type. We used standard industry practices during the installation

We also want to address your mention of additional workers requesting payment. Any subcontractors who approached you should have been referred directly to our office. As we stated during the project, all communication and decisions regarding payment must come through us to avoid confusion.

While we are sympathetic to your current concerns, we must reiterate that the scope and terms were mutually agreed upon, documented, and signed. We honored that agreement and completed the project according to the specifications provided.
