    Wenkel Concrete owned by **** Wenkel out of the Lake and surrounding areas in ** is NOT someone I would recommend. Shoddy, low-grade quality at best. We used his service when we had our in-ground pool deck and 20x32 building pad poured. Concrete is less than a year old and is already cracking in multiple places. The building pad was not poured to planned specification, even though given the blueprint. There was no moisture barrier used, which expedites the cracking. This was something the building inspector requires and was laid out prior to inspection, but taken back up. Workers left trash laying around the house. The most disappointing is the cantilever decking that had air gaps all the way around the pool wall. They did not vibrate or tap the concrete forms to release these air bubbles. This also results in more cracking. We advised of the shoddy job and he carelessly tried to repair it using the cream off the building pad, which did not hold. We never heard from him again. Our pool builder went out of his way to fix it the best he could. For the price we paid, the craftsmanship is extremely flawed. His focus was obviously not our project. The lack of focus and self-absorbed attitude made this a painful eye sore for us, the homeowners.

    I do not pour building pads and pool decks together. I feel you have the wrong company in your review.If you could be more specific on the location and I never received any type of communication about your concerns. Which makes me feel like again you have the wrong company.

    No its your company. You were sub-contracted for our pool installation. You poured the pad separate. You knew we were not happy with it, thats why you tried to patch it. When that work either, you just left it.
