      Very poor business ethics and highly suspicious of the owner's integrity. Appears to use a bait and switch tactic to charge more and will not stand by their word and honor the agreed upon price. Situation: Received a quote to have two lots surveyed. The owner quoted $2200 plus $500 for a survey map to be drawn up if I wanted it. I agreed with their required 50% down and informed their clerk that I would decide on the survey map in the coming days. They immediately charged my credit card for the full 50% of the total and sent me an invoice showing the total invoice amount, my payment and the two lots to be surveyed. When it came time to schedule the survey to be completed they called back and said they claimed they misunderstood and thought I was paying to have my neighbors property surveyed, even though the invoice clearly listed my address and had my two lots listed that were to be surveyed. Now the company wanted to update the price of the survey to almost 3 times as much, the new figure being $6000! Long story short, they refused to honor their contract/invoice. I've been in business for over 35+ years and have always operated with integrity and honored my agreements, whether verbal or written, even if mistakes were made during the negotiations. If I said it, I honored it. I have always lived by my word, but there are always a few that don't. And unfortunately this individual owner is obviously not one to live by their word. The only honorable thing the company did was to refund my $1,350. Still a little dismayed they wouldn't honor the agreement I called back and repeated the fact that the invoice that they wrote clearly stated the details. They did not care nor did they care if I reported this to the BBB.
