  BEWARE! I had taken a tour of the Bass Lake Resort in New York. The tour went well and salesman really knew how to explain what amenities and special events that are available. Also, emphasized to me were how important customer satisfaction and having good customer support. What wasn't discussed was all the extra fees for this that and every other thing. When I called in October of 2021 to cancel the membership, because it wasn't what I had been told it would be, I received no indication that I couldn't during the call. I am rarely home, because I travel for work, and now nine months later I have received a notice of collection! When I called the resort they said I didn't have a membership there. They want me to pay the full amount despite NOT wanting to be a member there! It is a slap in the face that a place claims to want their members to be satisfied but when one isn't they don't care at all. BEWARE!!

  I am sorry to hear that you are upset. We want all of our member to be satisfied with their membership. I do see where you called in October but their was no mention of requesting to cancel. Only that you were having a hard time with paying the bill for the membership. Since then we have tried reaching out to you 41 times and you have either hung up on us or sent the call to voicemail. Unfortunately, since we were unable to reach you and the account going so far into debt we turned your account over to collections.   We signed a contract in 2014 that had an early termination option. Which stated that we had to pay for 4 year maintenance to terminate, but if we advised them that we intended to continue to use the campgrounds we would be allowed to use them. In March of 2021 we notified them that we would take early termination option. However if we must pay for 4 years we would continue to use the campground as per contract of 2014. we paid for 4 years -over $2,000. Since receiving the $2000, they have cancelled our contract but will not allow us to use the campgrounds. This is in clear violation of the 2014 contract. This company has been miserable to deal with. Just let me use what I paid for. Will end on 2025.

  Hello, I have researched your account and found a letter sign by both members requesting to cancel your membership on March 18, 2021. Per your request the account was cancelled. On April 26, 2021 you called into the office requesting a confirmation of cancellation letter to confirm that the account was cancelled because you felt you would not be able to use your membership due to current health issues. I will personally reach out to you on Monday to see if we are able to come up with a suitable solution to this issue. Thank you for being a member for many years and I hate to hear this has been an unpleasant experience for you.

  I responded that I had won $100 ****** gift card and a tablet and when I called they said I HAD TO PICK IT UP AN HOUR AWAY at Gettysburg Resort so ok I didn't then we got a salesperson to talk us into a tour and a free 3 nights 4 days camp since we owned an RV. Then we were being talked into the travel resorts of America membership. It all sounded ok but our initial fee per month doubled and the ridiculous maintenance fee was every 3 mos $177. I immediately was calling to cancel the membership and COULD NEVER GET THROUGH. I never did get my tablet either! Since I couldn't get through over 2wks went by and it was too late to cancel. I wish I never got this contract! No campgrounds are even close to me when I looked thru the book. ITS ********!
