They towed my car because of a bad registration. That is my fault. I was not able to fix my car how I wanted and the apartment complex got me. Why they are one star rated. Mrs. ********************** was rude and seemed to be discriminating against me. Due to her being rude I only talked to the gentleman who was there. He was professional. While talking to him Mrs. ********************** calls the police on me. So as soon as I move my car from the lot for a bad registration I get pulled over for the same thing. Luckily I was able to articulate myself and give the officer a clear understanding of what was going on and I went home. No ticket or paperwork. If I didnt hold the values I has for myself I would truly give her a piece of my mind but Im at peace with this review.Beacon Wrecker Service (Beacon Towing)

Let me explain to you the truth of the situation. This gentleman came in and asked if he could retrieve his wallet out of his vehicle and then he said he would return because he had a few questions. The gentleman that he was speaking to ask him, what questions he had, as we don't typically let people have access to their vehcile and then come back and ask questions. But, it wasn't worth the argument and he was allowed to go to his vehcile to retrieve his wallet. Upon entering, he placed the gun he had retrieved on the customer portion of the counter and the barrel of said gun was pointing directly at " Mrs. ************************ I kindly asked if he could please not point the barrel of his gun directly at me. At which point, he said, "I have the clip in my hand, it doesn't even have a clip in it." This is when I became rude. If you don't have any better gun safety then to understand rule #1, never point the barrel of a gun at something you don't intend to shoot, then I don't trust that you have properly cleared that gun prior to laying it down. How any of that is discriminatory, is beyond my understanding. And if you think I had time to call **** and have them respond that fast to pull you over, that is hilarious. We saw you get pulled over and thought you had called them in our parking lot. That *** was just more bad luck on your end. I would highly suggest that if you have a conceal carry license, you read back up on how to properly handle a gun. You could have put the gun in the holster, if you had one, and brandished it on your waist wide in then open and not a word would have been said to you, or you could have even conceal carried it. The "rudeness" you descirbe was anger and fear at the fact, that you didn't think I should have been upset, becasue I magically was supposed to know there was no clip in the gun, nor a bullet in the chamber. I may seem to have magical powers and x-ray vision, but those aren't my super powers. You seem to be an intelligent person, however, your gun etiquette is child level and from the perspective of someone who is intellignet and knows how to properly handle and store a gun, your lackadaisical response to how I responded after you repeatedly said, "but there is no clip in it", just shows your ignorance to any type of gun safety. So if you take away anything from this experience, the # 1 rule Never point the barrel of a gun whether in your hand or on a table at anything you don't intend to shoot. If you would have picked up that gun and there was one in the chamber, there is a chance you accidentally pull the trigger and I would not be typing this right now. This is why the anger and rage came out yesterday, becasue I knew we were dealing with a person whom was not proficient in properly handling a weapon or gun safety. 2. How to properly clear a weapon, which you didn't have time to do. #1 Drop the clip #2 clear the chamber #3 point the gun in a safe direction (not any person) and pull trigger.Q

I usually dont respond to any of this but aye I got time. Youre going back and forth with me a customer about my bad experience aye keep it going. I mentioned you being discriminatory and you skip that part so I guess the shoe fit and you are proud to wear it. But the most important part of gun safety is not to have the gun in your hand. As you said and I said. The gun was on the counter and you were behind glass. So what and how was I going to harm you with a weapon with no weapon in my hand. It might be because you were rude and talking to me as if I was lesser than and you assumed this man might harm me for my actions. Mrs ********************** with all respect learn how to talk to people and you wouldnt feel like someone was after you. Your staff who spoke to me with respect didnt say anything about my weapon. The cop who you had pull me over didnt say anything to me. Because I wasnt upset. Your prejudice made you see me as a danger so you treated me as such. Be better, seek help, dont let your stereotypes cloud your judgements. Be blessed.Q

I dont think you had the time. You said I got something for you. I left to go across the street get money, you didnt think I heard you when you said I got something for him. You didnt think I saw you on the phone I did. Lastly you said I placed the gun down. So nothing was in my hand besides my wallet. What is there to be afraid of. You talk about bad karma, you have a one star rating on bbb and *******Review fromTaisha B

Their impound fee was outrageous! My car was impounded for driving while license suspended, which I wasnt unaware of, onto a military base at 2:30 AM. At 9:30 a.m I contacted Beacon to pick up my car and I was told it would cost me $416. The tow was less than 10 miles and the car had only been there for seven hours. I was told it is this high because of the law enforcement rotation. Now it will cost$591 to get my car back because it would have to sit til payday, a total of five days. There should be a legal limit to what they can charge us. What is even crazier is that my sister owns a tow truck company and they would not allow her to tow it, claiming her vehicles were not allowed on post. Exactly 3 days prior to this. She had two different vehicles on post. To make matters worse both my sons inhalers were in the car. When I called to see if I could get them out, I was told I had to pay half the bill. I will never use their services or recommend them to anybody else.Beacon Wrecker Service (Beacon Towing)

WE don't have a ************************* as a registered owner of a vehicle in our possession. We have a ************************* as a registered owner of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. We understand your frustration when a vehicle was impounded. However, it is your responsibility to be aware of a suspended or revoked license. We do not control whom is allowed onto the military installation, only provide a service for the *************** when they determine a car needs to be impounded. You mentioned it was 2:30am when the car you were driving was towed. In order for law enforcement to have towing companies on call 24/7/365 they regulate impound fees to be lucrative enough that they will always get a tow truck at any time in an expedited manner. The word regulate refers to the LEGAL LIMIT we can charge, so that point is invalid, and now you know. We also don't control when people are put into our paths, only the person operating the vehicle decides, by their own unlawful actions to have to come in contact with us. In order to not be put into each others paths in the future, would be to 1. get your drivers license reinstated 2. don't operate any vehicle until that process has been complete. These are 2 steps in which you have full control over and will ensure that we don't have any reason to cross paths. We understand that you will not be using our service in the future, which is understandable, considering your sister owns a towing service, which makes the most sense. Now, if you don't follow the above steps and decide to break the law again, you have essentially choosing to possibly be put into our path, have your car impounded again, essentially saying that you didn't have any issue with the process. But, we also need to be clear, YOU did NOT choose us at this point to tow your vehicle the *************** did, so we don't consider you a customer, they are, and they are happy with the service that was provided. Furthermore, you are not the registered owner, just an unlawful driver, thus from this point forward, we should not have any further communication from you, as you can't drive the vehicle out, nor give authorization to have it towed out or driven out by an individual with a valid drivers license. I will make note of this in our system, and due tot he fact you don't want to have any dealings with our company, we have also made note, that we will no longer communicate with anyone other than ************************* in regards to this vehicle. or the other registered owner, *****************************.Review fromDino P

You are correct, impounds are cash only due to the nature of the transaction. Impounded vehicles are more likely to have a chargeback on a credit card, due to the credit card companies deciding that the person who's car was impounded by a law enforcement official did not request the service, thus why this rule was put into place. We offer an ATM, not owned by our company, in our lobby to make this transaction more smooth. There is also a bank across the street that has an ATM as well.
