    On April 15, 2025 Wards heating and plumbing sent someone to replace the heating elements in my water heater. Prior to this I contacted the manufacturer of the water heater because the unit was still under warranty. I was told by the manufacturer that I would need to send them an itemized receipt in order to receive a reimbursement. When the plumber gave me the total cost I emphasized that I would need an itemized receipt and why I needed it. He assured me he would email me the final itemized receipt when the job was done. The receipt he sent was not itemized. I called ************ 4 times. I was finally told that they could not provide an itemized receipt because no one knew the cost of the parts. I was also told that no service business provides itemized receipts. They went on to say that they would contact the manufacturer on my behalf. After all this I again contacted the manufacturer and explained what had happened. I was told that no reimbursements are approved without an itemized deduction.

    Our apologies for the inconvenience.  We use a pricebook for our billing and neither the Technicians s or the **************** **** have access to the information that you needed.  This issue should have been escalated to someone who could help you.  Your invoice has been revised to include the information that you need and has been sent via email.

    is dated 2021, but I didn't even start using it until 2022 when I moved into my new house. So another $200+ charge and he says he found the solution. It's some part I don't know the name of and he's talking fast and like I should know what he's telling me. I don't. But the solution involves some major sort of undertaking and if I don't hire them to do it correctly, someone else might do the repair, but I risk turning my outdoor unit into a bomb. A bomb? Then he quotes me upwards of $3400 for the final repair, AND quotes me for a NEW SYSTEM, but never sends any quote like I asked. I called to talk to a manager. No one called me back or followed up with me. The technician told me he would look into warranty claims. Nope. Super shady business. I got another company to repair for just over $200 and it was not what **** even diagnosed. Totally different solution that fixed it. I don't think the tech knew what he was doing. And they are trying to quote me upwards of $3400 (plus the ******).

    After reviewing the job we determined a refund was the best course of action since this customer has already contacted and received repairs on her system by another company.

     

    The invoice has been adjusted and a refund has been processed.
