    Cleaning was done well and quickly in February. Estimate was given for two chimney caps and some internal parts for one chimney. Repairs were to occur in about 3 weeks (early March) There was NO communication from the company so I called April 13. It took 4 phone calls to get an explanation from them. They claim the parts are on back order. I advised them that I no longer have need of their service. They tried to argue that the parts have already been ordered. I told them they should have let me know a month ago that there was a delay. Lack of communication = bad business practice. Yes, backorders are beyond their control, but I should have been informed instead of being blown off for almost two months. When I asked why I was never called, woman advised me in a self-important way that she had "other work to do." I will hire another company.

    Tried to reach customer several times about issue with orders on materials we use with no response. The 4 calls where made back to back without giving time for a return call to be made and when contact was made customer was more than rude to office staff and very unprofessional. In the day and time we have found ourselves living customers have become disrespectful and uncaring in how some chose to talk to companies performing work for them and the management at Top Hat will not tolerate our staff being talked to in such a way. we will very nicely and with God's blessing ask that they contact another business. We go above and beyond to provide great customer service and workmanship carrying on a 4 decade tradition but chose not to continue to put ourselves in unprofessional situations.

    The above response is damage control. It is not professional to commit to a repair in 3 weeks and then ignore the customer for 7 weeks and to give no written estimate or explanation. Expecting a phone call or email is not unreasonable-- or disrespectful. Top Hat NEVER tried to contact me unless in response to my inquiries. Woman said she would "call me right back". Four hours later I had to call her. Then I asked for detailed voicemails since I knew I could not answer my phone all the time. But all I got was "Call me back," which caused more frustration. The calls were NOT back to back and I have a call log to prove that, if only I could paste it here. Obviously, this company pleases the customers they choose to (based on reviews) and ignore others.

    First class company!! From the office to the technicians everyone is knowledgeable and very professional!! Highly recommend Top Hat !!!!
