Don't trust these guys! They insisted on being paid after completing half the work. They left their equipment as "collateral" and said they would return the next day. After numerous calls from me and cancellations on their part they finally showed up to complete the work. They loaded their equipment in their trailer and told me "oops they forgot their climbing equipment", imagine that. Numerous more calls and cancellations. This has been going on for over 2 and a half Months. Now they won't answer their phone.

This company knocked on our door (when I was at work) and told my wife they could take care of some branches that were hanging over the house and some other easy (low hanging) stuff around the house for $350 plus taxes. I said to my wife (from work) "Sure, do it...if they are gonna get the branches over the house. Don't really care about the rest of it but whatever". They did the easy stuff (things I didn't ask for and mostly things my 78 year old MIL probably could have done - with her bad knees - using a step ladder) and left the only branches I actually cared about because according to them "taking them might shock the tree". But - they promised my wife they would come back and finish job at some point. Since then I left 2 unanswered messages asking when they could come back and finish job. After 2 weeks of being ghosted, I emailed them and they finally agreed to return. Today was that day. I stayed home from office and they tell me they would be happy to do the branches they left last time and were willing to give me a NEW ESTIMATE - for the work that should have been done weeks ago. They denied the factual reality of the prior conversation with my wife. My wife is very honest and very trusting. So much so that she paid these guys fully because they promised to come back and finish job. Something I would not have done or advised. Not surprised they are not BBB accredited. Avoid. Lesson learned. Do business with honest groups. I am 53 years old and do not believe I have ever felt so screwed over as to leave a bad review of any biz, but these guys have fully earned it in my view. Not surprised by other recent review on here that also suggests a lack of honesty and character. Tried to give biz 0 stars but forced to give 1 in order to leave review.

These guys seem to be nice guys and know a lot about tree work, but they are not professional in what they do. They did not give a written proposal, they had no safety equipment to speak of, they had limited equipment to get the job done safely, and they made promises but did not keep them. If anything, these guys need someone to help them organize their work, and schedule appointments. If their price is lower than a company which has name recognition, then go with the higher price.

I will not mention first names only the first letter of their name. "C" here is confused not only about the days but also the details relating to the invoice. The job was started on August 15th. The invoice was written out on the 15th as well. They charged $200 to do stump grinding which I agreed to, and "B" his brother estimated $650 for the backyard. I agreed with the price. The total amount was $850. I was on the front porch when "B" came up and said that he made a mistake on the estimate and said that he needed an additional $100 for the big rotten limb at the back of the property which my understanding was, that it was part of the original proposal. I was questioning the additional amount and "B" said that if I went with it, he would trim the maple tree in the front yard. He did cut a few limbs out of that tree on Thursday. That's the extra work that "C" refers to in his response. So, it wasn't really extra work. It was actually something which was promised to be done. When they were finished for the day, "B" said that they would like payment if they could. I was reluctant to do so because the job was not finished, but "B" said that they would leave their equipment here as a guarantee that they would return to finish the work. So, I agreed to that. The total amount was $950, but "B" wanted it written on the invoice for $850 because he wanted to buy his workers dinner. I thought it strange, but I wasn't in charge of their books, so it really didn't matter to me. However, the invoice only mentions work done for that day.... "Three trees cut down, and one dead piece over the first building". But there were two other dead pieces left to be cut. That was the work that they were to come back and finish. He said they would come back the next day, Tuesday, but if it was raining that they would come the next day which was Wednesday. I had no problem with that. The next day on Tuesday "B" left me a voice message saying that it was raining where they were and that they would be there on Wednesday from 10am to 12pm. Sent him at text message on that day at 11:11am saying to him that Wednesday was ok. I didn't see them at all on Wednesday, but "B" sent a text at 4:58pm saying that he wouldn't make it first thing in the morning which was Thursday morning. I simply said fine but a little brothered that he hadn't contacted me at all that day. In the meantime, I checked online about their business and discovered that they had bad reviews on Yelp and one of the problems was that they didn't finish jobs, and made promises, but didn't keep them. They are there for anyone to read. Thursday morning "B" sent me a text at 10:01am saying that he was picking everyone up and then he would be at my house. At 12:19 pm nobody had showed up, So I was finished dealing with "B", and so I sent "C" a text stating that I didn't want his brother "B" on my property, and that he should come to my house at 5pm that day and that I wanted a refund on part of my payment. Of course, I didn't want them trying to get their equipment without finishing the work, so I told him that I wasn't afraid to call the law. However, "B" shows up at my house around 3:30pm. I told him I knew that he had been lying to me, and that I was finished dealing with him, but after some more conversation, he apologized for lying to me, and eventually, I let them have access to their equipment and they finished the work. This is long but necessary to explain the context of the whole matter. After reading other reviews online I can see that my review isn't that much different from other reviews. These people can have a good business and have a good reputation, but they have to change the way they are doing things. I only wish them success. Reviews are intended to help a business see what they are doing wrong and make the necessary corrections. I hope they do so.
