  ***************************, owner Natures Blend Woodworking said that he was an expert and would be able to refinish an ****s Mahogany Double Bed Bedframe for ****** for a double bed, and ***** extra if I wanted him to pick up and deliver. My friend drove me to his shop in Mooresville He had said he would be happy to use the stain and finish I would provide by ECOS Natural Paints, that uses no off gassing paints. ECOS is endorsed by ***** Builders. Tristen had a contract for me to sign--he had raised the price to 6***** -the $***** travel fee had been lined out, but he had not subtracted the *****. He said he had quoted this, but it was not so. The contract said I could come up after he had added some stain to see I was happy, or he would send me a photo to review, before he proceeded covering the whole bed. He never sent me a photo and completed the bed. Then sent me photos. The bottom half of the headboard was a different color than the top. He said because it was oak instead of Mahagony. I reminded him he was supposed to have sent me photos to approve. He then said he did not have to as I brought my own stain. This is NOT what he told me, OR on his contract. I quickly sent the photo of the uneven colored frame to ECOS who told me that same day what I needed to do when covering oak to make it come out the same as the Mahogany. I told Tristen I had called. He then said he did not want to work any more on the bed, and would only charge me half price. I went to pick up the bed and it looked terrible. Visible brush strokes and uneven stain. Tristen broke his contract with me by not sending photos first for my approval. If he had, I would have gotten the correct stain for the oak bottom half. He agreed to do my bed with my stain, telling me I would be happy. If he did not know how to fix it, a simple email or phone call would have given him direction. Now the bed frame looks terrible. And he said he was going to contact 'local contractors' telling them not to work with me!!!

  Here at Natures Blend Woodworking we strive for success and are very eager to please! We are very sorry to hear that your experience with us was not satisfactory.However here at Natures Blend Woodworking we have certain methods that we pertain to, to restore the furniture and antiques that enter our shop. We do not mind using supplies that a client wishes for us to use, but we extremely do not recommend it due to the fact that we are unfamiliar with products that you may choose personally. It states in our client contract that if we use a product that you wish us to use and are not happy with the results then we are not at fault. We use certain products that have ensured us the results on every piece over our years of business. We are concerned with your satisfaction with the restoration as you stated in email that the Bed Frame looked absolutely gorgeous. We wish we could make this right by restoring your piece again for you free of charge, using the methods and products we are familiar with here at our company.
