    The "appraiser" that was assigned to our home (Qualls) came from out of our county and was completely unfamiliar with our local real estate market. This unqualified "appraiser" should have never been assigned to appraise our home. We were issued a wildly inaccurate appraisal that was in no way representative of the correct current value of our home.Qualls valued our home at $358,000. Qualls was off by over $100,000 from current market value ($465,000), Zillow value ($465,800), and an independent comparable market analysis done by an outside realtor ($448,704)! It was so incredibly incorrect that my mortgage agent immediately enacted a request for reconsideration to the *** ******** Link). Since receiving such a grossly inaccurate appraisal, we contacted a local realtor. She is a member of the ********************************************* She has NEVER represented us or any family member in a purchase or sale of any kind. We contacted her because she is a very reputable agent in our area and knows these neighborhoods very well. She did a comparative analysis on our behalf and suggested we list our home at $448,704.00.Our mortgage company recognized the gross incompetence of Qualls and ordered a second appraisal. This time our home was accurately appraised for $465,000. Our home was valued at $465,000, over $100, 000 more than the first, horrendously erroneous "appraisal" done by Qualls. Qualls should be REMOVED from all mortgage company lists of approved appraisers. If you are assigned Qualls, INSIST ON ANOTHER APPRAISER!
