    This complaint relates to a Contractor's Contract with Three Generations Concrete ("TGC") dated March 18, 2022. Under the contract, TGC committed to repair and renovate the concrete deck around my pool at *** **** ******* ***** ******** *****, NC. The work consisted mainly in removing a section of damaged concrete, repouring concrete and resurfacing the entire deck by applying two coats of Dura-Top. The contract price was $12,440, with a 50% deposit paid on March 18, 2022 and the balance to be paid upon completion. Work was to be completed by April 30, 2022. Work started on May 2 and resurfacing was done on May 3, a day when TGC was "well aware" that rain was expected (TGC's text of May 3, 2022). The concrete was left unprotected and was damaged by heavy rain. The TGC team came back the following day to do some sanding and apply a third coat and I was assured that the problem had been fixed. Balance of the price was paid by check, as required under the contract. Unfortunately it rained again during the following night and, since no rain protection had been installed, the concrete was damaged again (mainly dark stains in numerous sections of the pool deck). When TGC owner came back a few days later to inspect the work, I was told that those stains were "normal" and I should not expect anything better.
