On Sep. 6th, 2022, I had an evaluation consultation for a single tooth placement of implant body with Dr. ******************** ******************, after the evaluation I had a meeting with a person who is part of the staff and speaks Spanish, she estimated $5.156 as a total price, the estimates cost process was verbal, they did not give me a document, so I took notes and I already had it. Based on Delta Dental bills, the treatment was done in the following days:On Sep. 20th the treatment started with extraction and bone replacement graft. On Oct 11th, was a post operation review. On January 9th, cone bean CT capture. On January 31st, 2023, it was the surgical placement of implant body, in the same procedure was taking a sample for a biopsy, Dr ****************** said that no charges were applied for the biopsy sample. During the same procedure Dr. ****************** offered anesthesia IV moderate for $1.419, and I accepted. At this moment I did not know the average price of anesthesia IV.On May 25th it was the procedure to uncover the placement of implant body. The price for single tooth placement implant body procedure was increased from $5.156 to $8.058, so the difference is $2.902, this is 56% over the original price. I have contacted Tar Heel Periodontics more than 5 times by email and in person to clarify the differences in the prices. They sent me a Tax receipt with the prices and at the bottom of the document they identify an overpayment of $2.976 dollars. It means to me that they have overcharged my bill. I request Dr. ****************** to charge the original price $5.156 and give me a refund for the additional charges. I paid $8.058 to Dr. ******************.

Hi ******, thank you for reaching out. It appears that the estimated cost presented at the consultation did not include IV sedation, which was requested by you, which in turn changes the price for total procedure. There is alot of communication and alot of excellent dentistry performed here. Dr. ****************** also performed several complimentary procedures during this time. We are doing a complete audit for you and are happy to review that with you. We will give you a call today. It is not in our best interest to keep any overpayments or charge for services not rendered. We have complete documentation for services that were rendered and pricing that was presented. We look forward to discussing this with you.

My daughter had an appointment for services on 11/23/2022. We were asked to pay in full despite insurance coverage. I did pay in full with the understanding that we would be refunded any overage paid timely as they would submit to both health and dental insurance for covered services. The covered services took place on 11/23/2022. The services themselves went fine. However, the insurance and billing portion of the business seemed to never have submitted a claim to insurance in their lifetime. It was truly as if they had no clue how to submit insurance claims. I followed up countless times with this business and they kept putting me off as well as in each email providing conflicting information as to what services should be claimed to health vs dental (copies of emails can be supplied as needed), indicating conflicting messages about whether claims should go to medical or dental each time, then continually putting me off when insurance paid them directly and needing to refund me directly for cost. Why does it take 6+ months to resolve claims already submitted and determined as refund needed to the customer? After 6 months no payment has been made as indicated was due. It is now 4/18/2023 and the office still won't provide payment due to me despite confirming for the past 4 months that it is due to me. This business is horrible. They have no clue what they are doing and should not continue to be in business. They simply take full payment in advance so they don't have to deal with insurance and payments due to customers. Please assist in getting payment due to me asap. I am still not assured that the refund already confirmed due to me is the actually full total dollar amount due to me. I would not be surprised if further refund is legally due to me at this time but I cannot even get the agreed upon total paid to **** appreciate any assistance possible.

I was a patient of the Wake Forest office in 2020 and was satisfied with the services received, however, I was overcharged for the services and not informed of this until a separate appointment in June 2022. (I was charged for sedation which was not required). While at the office in early June 2022 I requested to have the balance refunded and the front desk person assured me that this would happen. Weeks followed and I did not receive any refund so I called and spoke with someone in the billing department. This person also told me that she would resolve this issue. Additional weeks followed without any further contact so I called again. This time I left a message for the billing department and I never received a call back. I called back again and once again left a message with no response. My last attempt to speak with the billing department was on 7/21/22 and still no response.
