      I have a call recorded from my child's *** stating that we have 2 more refills left until we need to come in for another appointment. School has started and my children NEED their ADHD medicine. I have been calling the office for the past 3 days trying to get the "auto" refill in as this medicine has been in a national shortage and the window availability when the meds are in STATE is very small. I called 3 times a day for the past 3 days only able to leave a voicemail for the prescription line. Today I received a phone call and was told my children are due for a new appointment. I was not concerned about the appointment I asked if any of my voicemails were received and if the prescription was going to be filled. The woman on the phone stated that she was not sure and would have to check with the *** but let's go ahead and get us set up for next month. I explained that I refused to set up a new appointment until I could confirm that the prescription would be filled as the kids needed their medicine in order to function in school. We then exchanged more words and I was admittedly very adamant about not scheduling and paying for services we are not receiving. She then hung up on me. I called the Duke complaint line and was transferred to 3 different departments and then was directed to leave a voicemail for complaints. They are with-holding the kids prescription that were due to be filled on 8/24 until I scheulde an appointment for the END of September!!!!! They are not withholding the meds because they are due for an in person review they are withholding them because I refused to schedule a new appointment.
