      I purchased a transformer from CES. There was an issue with sizing by CES, and a transformer needed to be returned. The manager, *****, assured me there would be no issues. The transformer is picked up with the expectation set this would be a simple exchange for credit. ***** later, the manager disclosed there would be restocking fee, and from his experience, 25-30%. If this was disclosed previously, we would have kept the original transformer for other purposes, while not perfectly sized for the anticipated job, it could have been repurposed for another project. 3-5 Months go by, with all follow up initiated by myself the customer. Finally, I receive a response that they had the credit posted to them from *********************** awhile ago, but just hadn't applied the credit to our account. When the credit was applied, it was with a 70% RESTOCKING FEE. After 6+ months of waiting, we received 30%~ of what we paid for a brand new item (minus standard holes cut in a side panel for wires). The manager promised to "make things right" by CES failed in several ways 1. Return/restock fee disclosure before picking up an item from a customer 2. set an expectation for a ****** fee, when in fact it was 70% fee after 6 MONTHS.3. did not communicate to the customer throughout the process, was holding onto customers funds and not applying it to the account. They provided no resolution, and continuously try to stand behind their action of trying to put the economic burden on me, the customer. I simply requested store credit for the original item amount as paid, or to return the transformer I originally paid for.
