On 7-22-22, I took my car to Warehouse Tire & Battery (WHT&B) for a/c repair. Late that evening, I got a call from the owner asking me how to open the car's door. I told him to push the button on the key fob. When I picked my car up, the business was closing. When the worker took a while to bring me my car and left it running, I thought nothing of it. There was a lot of oil on the driver's side floor mat. Since the business had closed, I took the mat and placed it on the ground; then I cleaned it. On my way home, I stopped to a store and turned my car off. When I went to start it back up, my key would not turn in the ignition and there was oil on my key. My husband had to keep jiggling the key and turning the steering wheel and key to finally get the key to turn. W had sweat running everywhere from the heat and I was so mad and disappointed that my "good" mechanic's business had messed up my car. I went back to the business the following Monday and spoke with the owner. He got mad at me and told me that my car was old and they didn't do anything to my key or car's ignition. I told him that my car worked when I took it to him and that I even had to come back earlier to get the key to unlock my door and get my purse. Now my key won't unlock my door or my ignition. I went to another car repair place and was told that some sort of oil was on the key in my video and that the oil didn't naturally come from my key like WHT&B had said and that it would cost a lot to repair. The Honda dealer gave an estimate way over $1000 to replace the ignition. I didn't even realize at the time that WHT&B had also messed up the door lock as well. I now have to use my spare key & can't turn the ignition all the way off or I'm stranded. This has happened to me a few times and my husband had to come and start my car for me. One day, he had stop work and drive 45 min one way to come and start my car. I can't lock or start my car correctly. This is a dangerous situation for me.
