    I paid for an intro class on June 20th for $175. I never received communication or a contract from ***********************. The class started July 5th. I received an automated email on July 4th at 3:04pm saying the class started in 24 hours. The next day, I showed up to the lumina hotel for class and no one was there. I knew someone else who signed up who said ***** called her to cancel because the staff had the flu. I called ***** on July 8th and he did not answer. I called every day from July 9th-today and have also emailed, texted, sent DMs on instagram and ********* This man has never spoken to me and I have no way of believing its not a scam. I reported him to SDI who said they removed their partnership with him and filed a complaint with NCDOJ. I have spoken to attorneys about sueing him and plan on pursuing action to receive not only the $175 but compensation for emotional damages. This man should not be trusted with taking others out at sea or offering a dive certification.

    This business charged me $300 to certify my daughter in scuba diving. We confirmed a time date and place and 2 days before that date, I was informed they were cancelling. I asked for a refund but they didnt return emails or texts or calls. They said they would do a makeup date but never heard from them again. They lied and said their instructors were sick but they only have one instructor and he also stopped receiving communication from ***** the owner. This owner is a fraud, a lier and a thief and needs to be shut down. He still has my money and I never received the service and training.

    I paid $175 on 6/19/2024 for a scuba class on 7/5/2024. The owner, ***********************, called the morning of 7/5/2024 to cancel the booking, noting that I could call to reschedule. I have called 7/5 (twice), 7/9 (twice), 7/11 (twice), 7/13, 7/14, and 7/15. With the exception of one return phone call on 7/11 with *********************** during which I was assured I would be given a call back, I have not spoken to a human on the phone to resolve the issue. I have sent multiple text messages in an effort to document in writing that I would like a refund due to lack of contact. I seek the BBB aid in holding Divequest Adventures accountable to refunding me for the class that never occurred.
