Unprofessional owner (Bill) can be rude and condescending. When asked to explain specific proposal line item costs his response was 'I don't like you analyzing my numbers.' Always interrupts a conversation with why it's never his/their fault. He and the salesman kept explaining how busy they were as an excuse not to take **************************************************************** a timely manner. After refusing to answer the financial questions, **** expressed that 'I can't do business with you', and abruptly hung up the phone. Product seems good but WAY overpriced. Buyer beware.

*** inquired about having us put an acrylic patio cover over his existing deck. before he would agree to an in-home appointment, he needed to speak to the owner. I gladly gave *** a call and spoke to him for about 50 to 60 minutes and answered all his questions. My sales manager went to two separate in-home appointments to go over **** project with him, then my manager and I went together for a total of three in-home visits. The last in-home visit, we discussed all heights and measurements needed and what additional work he wanted for the project. The measurement in question in his complaint was discussed in length the day before, we also discussed with ***, that we wouldnt be getting back to him until later in the evening the following day with the final pricing. In numerous times he called that morning, he did not make us aware that he was just looking for that measurement, (the one we had discussed in length the day before). *** was looking for his project to be around 26K, which in the beginning it was, before he added additional products and services. In the last visit, we discovered, and discussed on site with him that his existing deck would need to be upgraded to meet code. The following evening, we emailed him the final pricing and called him to discuss, his is first comment was dealbreaker, but he was going to have to sleep on it. The following morning, he called me and told me he was ****** off at the pricing, and that the cost to upgrade his deck was way too high, he then said to me did I price it this high because you noticed the cars in my driveway and the size of my house? I told him I didnt appreciate that statement and everyone gets the same pricing. Even though *** was rude to me and questioned my integrity, I continued with the conversation. I gave him the option to have the work done himself or a contractor of his choice to upgrade the deck. I then tried to explain to him the time, material and the process needed to bring the deck up to code. *** then proceeded to ask me how much I pay my installers per hour, as he tried to calculate how many hours and days were needed to complete the deck upgrade, to tell me how much I should be charging. At this point I have 5+ hours into pricing and designing the layout of this project, which we are always happy to do. At some point, sometimes, some folks just arent a good fit for you, or your company and you just have walk away. I have been in business 20+ years and yes, the customer is always right until they question your integrity and question your honesty and then the customer is not right, I told him we are no longer interested in doing his project. He said fine were done here, so then I proceeded to hang up. To sum up, *** was just upset that he didnt get his way with the arbitrary number he wanted the project to be. He feels like so many others that they can just try to tarnish someone's reputation with a bad review when they dont get their way.
