I hired ********************************* (he goes by ****) on 12/12/22 to remodel my bathroom. I paid him $3850 to begin work. I agreed to pay him another $3850 upon completion of the project. I also agreed to pay for the materials (tiles etc.). **** said that he would complete the project in two or at the most three weeks. **** worked for about 2 or 3 hours when he showed up, and never showed up to work for many days in a row. He also did not pick up my phone calls. This went on for about 4 weeks, and when I texted him about my project, he replied that I am not his only customer, and he has other customers to take care of. I waited for another two weeks in the hope he would come and complete the job. When he did not show up, I had no choice but to fire him. **** made a big mess of things. He hired a plumber who installed a shower head which is not in the center of the shower area (picture attached). The demolition crew damaged the baseboard under the vanity (picture attached). To repair this it will cost me $1100.00 (material plus labor) I hired another contractor and his workers had to tear down most of the tiles installed by ****. **** installed tiles in a haphazard manner. For example, **** installed 3 floor tiles jutting partially into the shower area. In addition, those tiles were not in flush with the hexagonal tiles in the shower area (picture attached). If not repaired, the floor tiles would hurt our bare feet while showering. Also, **** cut tiles indiscriminately thus wasting costly tiles (picture attached). Each tile costs $150.00. He not only wasted my money but also caused me unnecessary aggravation. During all these weeks my wife and I could not use the master bedroom and had to sleep in our guest bedroom. **** did not use proper precautions to avoid dust in the master bedroom (pictures attached). It will cost us quite a bit of money and time to get the area thoroughly cleaned. **** should return the $3850.00 as he failed to complete the job.
