This is a complaint against ****** Tires who seems to be under the business Chad Duke Motorsports, they have the same address and phone numbers. This company replaced my tires on my 2016 *** X5. While it was there, I agreed to let them change the oil. After waiting a while, the tech informed me that he could not change the oil because the engine oil drain plug threads had been stripped. He told me he tightened the plug, but it was leaking "a little oil", and I needed to take it to a place that could fix it. My vehicle had never leaked a drop of oil until they touched the car. I use my trusted oil change place for oil changes until this service and never had an issue with leaks or techs telling me there was a problem. I have since taken the car to another repair shop. Their findings are that ****** Tire's tech crushed the o-ring causing a severe oil leak and suspect that in the haste of trying to cover up the mishap also stripped the drain plug threads. This major oil leak was caused by a tech at Duke's Tires. It cost me $1500.00 to repair the vehicle. Not to mention having to rent a car for three days while the car was being repaired, I did not include that cost. Nor did I include the oil leak damage that was done to my driveway. There are stains that have been professionally treated that will not come out. I would like ****** Tires to reimburse the $1500.00, since their tech is the one that caused the oil leak and damage and tried to cover it up. I have tried to call ****** to attempt resolution and have been unsuccessful in contacting her. ****** Tires is responsible for the severe oil leak and for trying to cover up the damage.

    01/30/2025 3:12PM:  ******* ****** HUNG UP ON ME

Chad Duke Motorsports, **** never worked on this vehicle and has no part of the claim so this claim is not relevant.

I, ****** ****, spoke to *******.  She requested $1500 through this claim.  She will not tell me where she got the car fixed.  She is picking the car up today.  She will not tell me what they repaired.  She said she called me one time in the past 3 months and I didn't return her call.  I never got a message that she called.   She said I was avoiding her.  As soon as I got this notification of the claim today, I called her immediately.  Had she ever actually called me back I would have returned her call immediately to discuss this situation.  According to Carfax 11/22/23 with a mileage ******* there was an oil change done in addition to other work at another shop, on  2/8/2024 at mileage ******* she had a battery replaced, the next Carfax notification was this visit and the mileage was ******* on 10-25-24 so unless she went to another shop that did not report to Carfax the oil change has not been done in ****** miles.  The technician that worked on the vehicle declined to do the oil change because there were already signs of an issue with the drain plug.  Since we do not do repairs on that model vehicle we did not want to do a job that may cause a further issue so we made the customer aware of the part that was failing and took ******* and her husband to the vehicle to show them the problem and explain why we did not want to do the oil change since there was already an issue present instead of attempting to do the oil change.  We have no reason to avoid or discredit any situation that may arise while we are working on a vehicle.  As you see today an immediate response was given.  We are not responsible for any refund or reimbursement to ******* ******.
