We contracted with 101 Mobility to remove the original wheelchair lift and install a new one. We signed the contractsJuly 15, 2021. They came and removed the old wheelchailr lift July 14, 2021. The new wheelchair lift was installed onSept 15, 2021 but the tower was 6 feet too short to reach the front porch from the ground. Finally on Oct 15, 2021 aproject manager ***** came and instructed the crew to build a platform so the wheelchair lift could be used. ****** ****** is in her 90s, has diabetes and is on blood thinners for blood clots. The blood thinner medication has to bemonitored at least once a month. So ****** was a prisoner in her home for over 3 months and had to cancel numerousblood monitoring appointments putting her at risk of developing blood clots and dying. During 2022 & 2023 we have had to call 101 Mobility numerous times to come and ?x various problems with the lift. July 20, 2023 the lift stopped working with ****** on it. The lift was about 6 feet in the air and I had to call the ?re **** to come and get her o?. I've had to call the ?re **** 3 times to get ****** *? the lift and upstairs to the house. 101 Mobility blamed the problem in the fact we live across from the ocean. Since Aug 22, 2024 we have had to call 4 times to get the lift repaired. Right now the ift has beeninoperable since Oct 7th. ****** is once again a prisoner in the house. We received a call to day that the techs shouldhave ordered a part on Oct 7th, but failed to do so. ***** said he will order the part today and have it over nighted. So we still don't know when the lift will be ?xed.
