      I hired a contractor(Jordan S******) to build an outdoor patio/deck for my restaurant. Blue prints were made by Jordan and submitted to the city of ************* ** ******* county, **. After Jordan gave me the invoice he asked for a starting fee paid on 8/11/22 $1,400 and later one we paid for the materials and part of the work on 9/20/23 $18,000. Fater several months of waiting and Jordan giving excuses that the city was taking too long and other personal issues we mutually decided in December to end the deck project after no work had been completed and requested a refund of all the money($19,400), Jordan agreed to pay us back and has not paid a single dollar back. I kept reaching out and Jordan never paid anything. Also in Febuary 7th, 2023 I contacted the permit deparment to get more information and Rebecca( in charge of permit#********) emailed me stating that there were issues with the permit Jordan submitted and Jordan never got back to them to resolve them. So, Jordan was lying about it being the city of ************* taking long to review the permit, he just never reached back out to resolve the issues and kept the money

      I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. The issue has not been resolved
