    I received medical services on 03/15/2024. I received a bill from an outside entity rather than from atrium/wake forest. The bill came from mydocbill.com. I am worried that the bill is not legitimate and is a scam trying to get my credit card information. I have called numerous numbers at wake forest Baptist imaging trying to get them to confirm that the bill is legitimate and they refuse to tell me if the bill is valid and refuse to tell me who my bill should be coming from. I am scared to pay the bill without some sort of confirmation. I have the money to pay the bill but it seems unacceptable that no one within the company that provided the service can talk to me about it.

    Our ******** Office Supervisor spoke with the patient. Below is her summary

     

    I spoke with ***********************, he stated that he went to the Atrium website and called all the phone numbers for imagining. Based on this information he was calling to main campus and getting nowhere. Ultimately, the patient came to the outpatient facility to confirm that mydocbill was not a scam and paid the bill.

    This business cancelled my appointment for a medically necessary MRI because I didn't respond to their request for an appointment confirmation within two days. They called at odd times, around eight PM and in the middle of the day during working hours. When I called them back the next day, they informed me they had cancelled my appointment and didn't know when they could make another one. They cancelled my appointment because I didn't confirm it quickly, which is absurd, because I wouldn't have made the appointment if I didn't want it in the first place. They also lied to me and said they had texted me asking for confirmation, which is totally untrue because I never received any such text message. They have cancelled my medical appointment because I didn't confirm the appointment that I myself set!

    We received a call from the consumer regarding the canceled service. During the call, the process was explained to the consumer and the importance of completing safety screenings before testing. We have spoken with the consumer and rescheduled the services with a completed safety screening.

    I also sent an email before this message was received stating that I wished to close my complaint as I had already spoken to the business and was satisfied with their response.
