  I contacted the business seeking two single bale feeders, one in-line bale feeder, and a wood post hinge latch. After receiving no initial answer, the owner texted promising a callback "shortly." I then texted my order, learning they only had one single bale feeder immediately available and were quoted a week's lead time for the rest. Following the order, I had to follow up to confirm receipt and pickup readiness. My husband went to pick up the order (160 miles round trip) and upon reviewing the receipt, I discovered a significant price discrepancy. The single bale feeders, advertised online at $650 each when I ordered ten days prior, were charged at $1,000 each – a $700 difference between the two (of which only one was a new build). The owner's explanation was that he wasn't asked about updated pricing and was simply told to "build them." While the products themselves are good, communication was lacking, and the pricing felt misrepresented.

  We dont often build bale feeders and the price wasnt reviewed until your order. In todays ever-changing economy, we do our best to stay on top of the pricing of products we build every day. Bale feeder has never been a frequent seller. We had one on-hand recently built to take to our personal farm. 

   
  I tried to offer a discount, but they didnt want discount. Then I offered a full refund and to pick the product up at no cost. I thought a full refund was the best offer I could give, but that was turned down. They wanted to keep the bale feeders.

  I ordered a $150 Slam Latch from them. This is the result:The Site SAYS "FREE SHIPPING" and also says for payment, "CASH ON DELIVERY C.O.D."!! (I have a ScreenShot of my order confirmation showing that!)I was never contacted by the site, so after a couple weeks, I emailed you. NO Response!! So I Emailed a 2nd time.I finally got a response by PHONE - the lady said I HAVE to pay SHIPPING!!!!! Then she went on to tell me that buying more than one at a time would "save" on shipping. (I don't have $300 at this time to buy 2 - PLUS SHIPPING to pay on something I have no idea if they will send or not, or if it's "made well" or if it will work in "my situation", or anything else. I had planned to buy ONE and then if I liked it, place a second order...)I TOLD her the website says FREE SHIPPING. She said I HAVE to pay Shipping!! I asked her how much to ship ONE and also how much to ship Two.I quickly received Two Emails with the shipping price info I'd asked for.One ($150) slam latch is $185.20 with postage.Two slam latches is $344.57 with postage. I emailed back and asked WHY I have to pay SHIPPING when the website says FREE SHIPPING!! (And I sent a screenshot of my order on the website showing FREE SHIPPING and C.O.D.)NO ANSWER. So I sent the same email AGAIN!!I finally got an answering Email from her - some bunch of "explanations" (she's pregnant, they are Small business - not big box, Most orders come from their "tri state" area, etc., etc.) as to why "I" HAVE to not only PAY SHIPPING but NOW (in a later email to me) I am also expected to PAY IN ADVANCE!!! NONE OF THIS IS STATED ON THE WEBSITE!!!!I asked WHY it says C.O.D. - SHE says that "COD" means "Check on Delivery" (not cash on delivery) - but regardless - "ON DELIVERY" SHOULD MEAN When it's DELIVERED TO ME!The website PLAINLY SAYS FREE SHIPPING and also PLAINLY SAYS "CASH ON DELIVERY" C.O.D.!! (CASH, not "Check" as she is trying to tell me!!)This all sounds like a TOTAL SCAM!!

  Hello, Sorry about all the confusion of this. As I stated in response email: Our website has free shipping option to allow orders for free catalog and free cow calf record books to go through. I have reworded our check out page to better explain the policy. 95% of our orders come from phone calls in our local ************ tri-state area; not on our website. So weve never ran into this confusion youre having about free shipping. Our previous customers have understood these products are heavy and require postage to be paid if its small enough to mail or delivery trucking paid if its large order. As for Cash on Delivery section: just like any other store we require payment before mailing small product. Our exception to this is large orders that require pickup or truck to be delivered. If our trucker delivers product, we require check payment day of delivery. I started mailing slam latches in January of 2023 and have sold 171 slam latches to at least 10 states since. I am the only employee that mails them, so I know the best way to package and most cost effective service to use.Lastly, I was trying to save you mailing cost by informing you its more effective to mail multiple at a time. Our heavy-duty slam latch is a very awkward and heavy item to ship and is most effectively mailed a few at a time. One alone is $35 to mail, two would only be $9 more. I understand if you cant pay for multiple latches at once, then I will only send one. But you pay for mailing on every order just like every other customer. -******
