    After a hail storm, our insurance agent contacted Hancock construction to look at our roof. *****, the owner, sold ** an upgraded Northgate shingle package for $2000 more, per signed contract. Hancock construction replaced the shingles on our roof on a Fri. and ***** needed to leave the site early. He said he would be back on Mon. to walk our property with ** to inspect the work and cleaned up. He never showed up. We did not hear from him until later. He then stated that no news, must mean good news as far as the work done and how his crew left our property. We had paid him $15000 of the $20,600 after the work was done because they were to do our siding. We were told in a couple of weeks. Then we would take care of paying the rest of the balance. He never showed. Did not do our siding. Instead, we got an invoice for the rest of the payment Oct 13th.The signed contract stated a 3 yr workmanship warranty and a Certainteed warranty. We contacted ***** several times to get the warranty information and was told it would be sent through email. We never received it.Certainteed sent ** a certificate in Dec. stating that we had a warranty for Landmark Climateflex and not the upgraded Northgate shingles per our signed contract. The Oct. 13th invoice that was sent after our initial $15000 payment charged ** the same price for Landmark not the upgraded Northgate shingles. We then contacted Certainteed and *****. We have yet to hear from him. Certainteed has not either. We still have no paperwork for the 3 yr workmanship warranty.Had a leak in our ceiling after installation. Contacted ***** about the leak. Promised to make it right and said he would come out. He cancelled because of vehicle trouble. He said he would be out after the weekend. He never showed and did not contact **.We hope this was not a bait and switch as far as the shingles. We are trying to get this taken care of but with excuses, not following through & no contact, we are worried it is a possibility.
