1 starThis place is soulless, I've tried the legal way to discuss my lease since proper maintenance wasn't done before me and my roommate moved in (we were told that it was going to happen), No-one is ever at the office as they have stated that they are in the office. I've had to drive to separate locations just to try and reach a human being (no-one) just for them not to call back. I will be fair, they are ok at responding to E-mails, also, why have a mailbox if you can't even use the mailbox for mail purposes? anyway, I have to move out of state and switch my roommate as a primary but they are not being cooperative. They also refuse to talk or reach out to solve this matter, there is mold building up in my kitchen washer and I'm afraid that I have to start looking at other "legal" matters to solve these issues since they do pose a harm to both our health (roommate and myself)Review fromGabby A

They are trying to take my security deposit and charge me additional fee after I moved out! The cleaning fees I understand that happens during every ***** change but the pest control and extra hours for cleaning and black light and carpet inspection is uncalled for. They had cockroaches and other bugs in the whole building that they sprayed for maybe a month or 2 before moving out. The whole reason I wanted to move out was for the horrible condition and the lack of responsibility when told about the bugs almost a year before. I was told that the bugs were a renters problem and I needed to hire someone out of pocket. I finished out the lease and even gave 3 months notice. They did the inspection a month before moving out and the only comment was they need to replace a blind slat-due to one maybe two being cracked. I checked ****** and it $17 for a pack of 2. They will not give me and documentation about the expense besides a check list made by them with what ever price they think is right. ZERO STARSGoldmark Property Management Inc

We apologize for any frustration surrounding your move-out charges, and we want to clarify the charges in detail. Regarding cleaning fees, we do require steam cleaning for all units after move-out. Additionally, because a strong pet odor was present, we conducted a black light inspection to ensure the carpet did not need replacement. While urine spots were found, carpet replacement wasnt necessary, so we performed additional deodorizing to help reduce the cost for you. In terms of pest control, our records indicate we did not receive any prior communication about pest concerns in your unit. Pest control is something we take very seriously, and we respond immediately when we are notified. The pest control fee applied was due to the presence of pests discovered at move-out, which required treatment. We understand the importance of clear documentation, so our team has shared a ledger and move-out form with you. If you have additional questions or need more clarification, please dont hesitate to reach out to us directly. Our goal is to ensure you feel informed about the charges. If you have any remaining questions please reach out to our team at ***********************************Review fromDenise P

1 starThey are horrible. I have rented from them a couple of times and the second time was even worse than the first. Maintenance person refused to do requested repairs, even the ones reported on the annual inspections!!! Not talking about minor repairs but serious ones, somes I have been requesting on 2 annual inpections!! My ** says I need them completed. I asked for a modified lease so I could move in warmer weather, so I could move when when side-walks would be cleared for my safety. They said it was approved. They wouldn't let me look at the lease, so I was forced to sign a lease without full disclosure. Becareful. Plus we have police here asking about **ug dealers, prostitutes, problems with dogs from another building trying to attack regularly.Review fromJerry A

After 6+months with several reports to Goldmark's agent that the fridge in my mother's apartment at *********************************************************** is freezing food in the main part of the fridge, the issue had not been fixed. 3 visits by maintenance and still no repairs that actually corrected the problem Have asked for the fridge ti be replaced but no follow-up from Goldmark on that.Goldmark Property Management Inc

We apologize for the inconvenience your mother has experienced with her refrigerator. We understand how frustrating it can be to deal with repeated maintenance visits without a resolution, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter.
Our maintenance team has visited the apartment multiple times and advised to move food away from the fan, as this was originally causing the fridge to enter defrost mode. During the second visit, they adjusted the temperature settings to ensure proper cooling. During the third visit, they checked the defrost component and confirmed it was working correctly. Despite these efforts, it is clear that the issue persists. A maintenance technician will assess the situation again, and we will prioritize resolving this issue once and for all.Review fromAnn W

1 starThis is going downhill fast. We have tried for a month to get our lease renewal contract. Phone call go unanswered and messages unreturned. There's hardly anyone ever in the office. Part-time PM hours posted on their website, but no one there. Apparently, their manager is having to deal with 2 properties, so calls get forwarded from one property to another with still no answer.Review fromAron K

*** You had guaranteed $ in hand through a Credit Card payment, and you denied the payment, using the "source and options" of rental payments that you have posted on every entryway on every building. You presented me with unrealistic and unreasonable goals to pay today. You kicked out a loyal tenant, one who rented at ********* 3435 #*** for more than 14 years, then came back to you to 3455 #***, All due to an unforeseeable medical condition affecting a 54 year old. You are the definition of, "heartless".Goldmark Property Management Inc

We understand that you attempted to make a payment via credit card, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the payment method not being accepted. As an alternative, we did offer the option to pay via money order, which is a secure method we accept for rental payments.Review fromCourtney N

1 starHold on to a copy of your lease. Current (2023) manager claimed a new lease was not signed and rent defaulted to a higher month by month rate. No attempt to notify me was made. Because I was never notified and no rent bill is ever sent out to me I had no idea this was going on.(7 months) Every month started with an outstanding balance and another late fee. This must be a lucrative ploy because the new lease has a new late fee policy that charges late fees to twice a month now. Oh did I mention they just tried a new tactic to get an initial late fee to start the whole process again. They implemented overage fees for included utilities but fail to get the bill out before it comes due. To be fair all late fees were reversed with the first issue after proof of a signed lease but the second issue has not been resolved and probably wont be, there seems to be a real lack of ethics at the ******** ** office right now. Based on the reviews here I wonder about the company as a whole.Review fromBrittany D

1 starI have been living at their Place One Apartments property in building ****. Since move in (, literally day one I've been dealing with an extremely loud neighbor. I have sent them probably over 200 emails/calls, I have sent them at least 20 videos of the behavior, have notified them everytime police were called. I was told by ******** yesterday after it started again (after 8 months of this) that she would be willing to allow ME to apply (for $240) and move to another unit in another property but not until Sept. The noise maker stays. I find this unacceptable and to be honest Im going to start looking into legal action if this isn't stopped now. This neighbor has affect my health, sanity and cost me money, a lot of it. I have never had full use of my unit and often times am forced to vacate completely due to the noise. I feel like a prisoner to my lease. I do feel that my lease is and has always been in breach and have communicated that often. This person has had people harass me at my employer, she has stuck notes under our door, tried to confront me while waiting for a cab and I have made Goldmark aware of all these behaviors. At one point ******** threatened to evict her so this was the neighbors reaction to that. She was obviously told at some point who I was, where I lived and what I look like. She even goes to the length of hitting the roof if we walk around our apartment at all and has been doing so for many months. My entire unit seems to vibrate constantly, the floors always vibrating, heavy bass 24/7. I have never used one half of my apartment because the speakers are directly under my living room floor. My lease is over on October 31 and I am begging them to finally do something because I am fed up, beyond fed up and I do not want to pay for a lawyer but this is a unique and grotesque REPEATED violation. Fargo does have a 24/7 noise ordinance. This is our third time leaving something with the BBB. We only want the noise to stop.
