I moved in June 2024 to my current apartment. At the time of move in my apartment had not been cleaned, my sink and bathroom sink did not function properly as well as my washer and dryer. After 3 weeks of repairs everything was fixed and when I ask about my rights I was given $300 in renting credit. I felt this was okay and did not think more about the situation. Come December and my heat did not function properly, it took 8 phone calls, 5 emails and 3 months for them to fix it. Today, my leasing company showed a tour at 10am, I was reminded on Friday however had forgotten and was in the shower and when I received one knock on my entry door before someone came in (bathroom is right next to the front door and because I live alone it was wide open). I cussed after being startled and surprised and the agent took it as a threat. Meridan is now threatening me for withholding/interrupting showings and stated I could be held financially responsible and stated I threatened the agent and potential renters by cussing. She stated that they can show the apartment whenever the want with a prior notice which is fair however they have showed in 14 times in the last month and I work from home which has disrupted my schedule. Communication is extremely poor with this company, turnover is high. They have broken 4 state statues broken so far ND 47-16-13 1 , 47-16-15, 47-16-17 and 47-16-07 3. I move out in a month and a half and I’m guessing their going to screw my on my deposit even though I moved into a dirty apartment. Reviews and replies show how the company treats its tenants to a T.

Property management company charged us for painting and repair of some nail holes from hanging TVs and pictures, which is fine. If it costs x amount of dollars then I am just fine with that. Asked for the invoice just to see the actual cost of what they did, of course they tell me that they do not have to provide it and will not be providing it. I would be happy to see the costs and pay what I owe, but seems pretty sketchy that they refuse to do so. I’m sure that they do this to everyone and most people just don’t care enough to call them out.

We pay our rent on-time, we are quiet, take care of the property and our reward is "Your rent is increasing by 8.7%." All I am told is "this is based on ownership charges." That is an extra 200$ per month!!!! This is not inflation, this is robbery. I tried to call management to discuss the reasons, and I am met with a passive aggressive response, "I guess this conversation is over....Have a great day and let us know if there is anything else we can do for you." Worst rental property establishment ever. Not renter friendly at all.

    Hello,

We have been in contact with this resident. They are currently reaching the end of their lease term and their current rental rate is well below the market rent on the rental unit.

Our taxes on the property that they are renting have increased a significant amount for 2024 and we are losing money on the property each month. This is the reason for the rental increase.

We have not broken any terms of the lease agreement that they have signed, and we have provided them with proper notification of their renewal offerings.

stay away from these people they are crooks, they make false claims of damage done even though I took 200 pictures upon checkout, they claim the whole place needed to be repainted even though we never used the 2 upstair bd rms they retained 75% of the deposit, they dare you to take them to court these types of management should be dissolved for all their dishonest behavior. I also checked out 10 days before end of lease and there was no prorate even when we gave them 6 week notice

There is not enough information here to know which resident/unit this complaint stems from. The claims in this post are erroneous. Because of that, it is impossible to respond to the specific claim. However, no renter is entitled prorated rent back just because they moved out early. That is clearly noted under statute and in the lease agreement. The only time prorated rent is due back is if a new renter moves in early. There is no dishonest behavior here. There is ignorance of the lease agreement and the laws on the part of the renter.
