    I ordered a flatbed for my pickup from James in November of 2022 and he said he would have it done by February. I mailed him a check for $***** as a deposit and he was going to start building it. In February he started to give me excuses as to why he was delayed and that it would be done in March. At this point, I said I have to have it by April and he said he would be done by then. The last week of March he said it was complete and he just had to paint it and then I could come pick it up. Since then, he will not answer his phone or respond to texts messages. I have left him voicemails saying I want a refund as it is now May, and he hasn’t produced anything. We will be taking him to court to get our money back if necessary. If he were to give us our refunds, we would be willing to take that and call it even.

    August 6 2022 I wrote a check out to James ******, owner of HOAV Metal Works for the amount of $***** as a deposit for a flatbed and front bumper he was to build for me. My girlfriend and I had drove down there to check out his shop and make sure everything was legit and she was present when I wrote, signed and handed him the check and he guaranteed her and I that he would have everything done in 6-8 weeks. That date put it at the first week of October 2022 as the latest completion date. Ever since October of last year it was excuse after excuse why he couldn't complete the flatbed and bumper and I checked up on him at least twice each and every month.
    Then in March 2023 I had enough of the excuses and demanded a refund since he's not getting the flatbed and bumper done. He agreed to issue me a refund and apologized about not getting my items done. James then went through and changed my invoice to say that he zeroed it out to issue the refund but never did. Since then I been after him almost every week to send me or wire me my refund, but once again it is one excuse
    after another and I still have not received a refund. Any help you can give me in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
