    Business Response

    Date: 06/05/2023

Nicholas **** has been a customer of ours for quite a few years and has brought in a lot of materials for recycling--so he is not new to how things are done.  He had came in a few days ahead and asked about scrapping a vehicle.  Since we are not a auto salvage yard and do not sell parts, we buy vehicles by the ton--the price was $***** per ton during the month of May--the weight was 4260# or 2.13 tons @$*****--which came to $******.  Any vehicles are classified as a car body, regardless of whether it is a full car or just a shell.  Once the car is weighed in, it is purchased as is--we do not remove converters for the customer on sight or we do not let customers remove them on our premises due to the liability. If he wanted paid for the converters, he should have removed them before he brought the car to us; then he would have been paid for them separately.  He did previously bring in a converter from this vehicle and was paid for it--so he knew the process.  He was very disappointed--he thought he was going to get $**** to $**** for the car, which at today's market value is not realistic.  If you have any questions, you can contact me at *******************.

Donald ****** is deceased.  My name is Linda ******, I am the President and owner of Beatrice Scrap Processing Inc.
