    Review of GoHero
I had a disappointing experience with GoHero regarding a leg brace for my dog. Despite several attempts, they were unable to create a suitable brace. Instead of addressing my concerns, the company often suggested physical therapy or provided various reasons why my dog couldn't wear the brace.
I would NOT recommend GoHero, as they seem to disregard the dog's owner's concerns and fail to acknowledge when the dog is in pain. Instead, they frequently make excuses. We ended up having two braces made, which required two vet visits since GoHero only collaborates with veterinarians.
After spending three months and $1200, we have decided to part ways with GoHero. Additionally, the leg brace they provided was far too bulky for an active dog. Overall, my experience has been frustrating and unsatisfactory.

We are really sorry to read this review Tabitha. We know you care deeply about your dog and want what is best for him. We also want to do what is best for your dog and have been doing our best to work with you to ensure the proper fit. Custom bracing can involve a bit of back and forth to dial in the fit and on rare occasions we ask for a recast if we determine a remake is needed to provide the optimal fit. We do prefer castings be done by the veterinarian as they have experience in casting and know the history of the patient. We also often recommend physical therapy as a complement to our bracing, as those specialists have gone through extensive training in how to rehab dogs with various diagnoses. Custom bracing works very well in most dogs, however it is not a quick fix. We have reached out to your doctor and she is very willing to set up a meeting for us all so that we evaluate the brace fit. We stand behind our product and are still very willing to help you and your dog out.

I originally wanted to get a brace for my dog since he tore his ACL. I wanted to try physical therapy, a brace and anti inflammatory medications. I really didn't want do surgery. I ordered the brace and was having difficulty with doing the cast because my vet refused to do it. I decided to do it myself since I am a nurse and figured it couldn't be that difficult. Ashley was wonderful when I called and asked for some guidance. She was kind enough to send me a second set since the first one didn't work out. In the process of doing all of this my Arlo took a turn for the worse and required surgery. They didn't start the process of making the cast yet so they were so kind and credited my card. They were very kind and helpful each and every time I called. Thank you Ashley for your kindness!

The braces are good but their customer service is not good. I had a brace made for my dog and I received it and things were good. My dog has cancer so she had no option for surgery. My dog ended up tearing the other ACL 6 months later and I spoke with Ashley at Hero and they said they could duplicate the brace I had for the other leg. Being in business, I thought that they had everythign they needed since they made the first brace. They told me to send them a check and where to send it. I called them a week after I sent the check and Ashley who answers the phones said she knows they got the check but will have to look into if they started making the brace yet. Ashley didn't call me back like she said. I waited another week and sent a text message to the phone that I was communicating with asking if they knew when I would receive the brace. I got no response so I called a few days later and still nothing. I sent another text message another week later and I still received no response. Today I send a text message which is a month later to see what is going on and had questions about customer service not being great. I look up the business online since nobody is answering my calls or text's with the normal communication line. Ashley who I have communicated with tells me that they are waiting for my old brace that I am suppose to send back. NOBODY told me that. She acted like I was suppose to know this and I don't know how I would know when nobody told me that. She acted like I was suppose to know, talked down to me. They cashed the check but nobody called me about not getting the brace. Then when I spoke about the custmer service, Ashley said that she cries all the time about how people talk to her. She literally tried to manipulate the client when the client who has a dying dog should be the one upset, not Ashley. My dog can't even use the bathroom and Ashley wants to turn it around to her. iphones don't lie but she denies she received any messgaes. Poor service

    Debra,
We are very sad to hear this review. There has been a total misunderstanding on what a "custom brace" is. We make braces for a specific dog from a cast of their leg. Right legs are a reflection of the left, dogs are bow legged. So we actually need a new cast to make the best brace. Ashely knew you were in a pinch so we tried to help you by making the other side work for the $99 we offered (a new brace is $996). We thought you were sending the old brace back to do that. Once we found out about the miscommunication, we refunded the money the same day. We truly want to help dogs. As the owner, I want to extend my sincere apology for the miscommunication that lead to this mistrust. I know this whole situation has pained my team deeply. They have more than demonstrated to me over the years how much they care about the animals.
    Sincerely,
    Ben B*****
