On November 18, 2024, after being a faithful customer for over 70 years a call was placed cancelling the Columbus Telegram (Lee Enterprise paper) for ***** ***** as she had to move to skilled care in David City due to failing health and was giving up her subscription as one was provided. In speaking with a customer rep, at that time she was promised a refund of $150.00 after reviewing her account. The beginning of January a follow up call to Customer Service again promised a refund and it was reduced to $130.00. No refund received yet. Why the reduction and yet no payment is made as of this date.
Lee Enterprise owns the Columbus Telegram, Omaha World Hearld and other papers in Nebraska. According to a news report Lee enterprise filed a report with the SEC well after two previous promises to pay ***** were made. Lee Enterprises has no problem taking my money visa my bank on 2/11 for my Omaha World Herald subscription. How is it Lee Enterprises can collect money but is unable to pay any amounts due? Sounds and looks like a double standard or a scam. Her mailing address was and last address for her subscription in November was Meridian Gardens **** **** ** Columbus. Since then, her address with the post office has changed to **** ******** *****, Columbus where **** ****) and ******* ***** reside.

I search of my phone number ************** comes up with my phone number displayed on the domain of this business from the year 2009. I continue to receive phone calls for the organization (***************************) as listed by the event calendar entry. I am no longer associated with the organization. This is very annoying. I would have thought the URL in question (below) would have aged off as most of the information is obsolete.

I am no longer observing my telephone number on the company's website within a ****** search. It is probably OK to close the complaint.
