    I don't like to cause anyone problems or get them in trouble, but the cost of what had to be done to my car when I even provided some of the parts I purchased on **** because they are brand new, low priced to sell with free shipping. I do not know where Hartman purchases parts when a customer does not provide the new part themself.

Is this another sign of economy going too high we cannot afford it? (Please do not use my name with them. I will use them for car services and the rest of the parts put on the car that are in my trunk.) I got the car from ******** ****** ********. I could not afford a different car.     Hartman Auto Repair is willing to help but this is not the way to ask for help. Come in. We will help you. But you have to understand that when you bring the parts in yourself I lose money allowing that to happen. Most shops don’t like to let customers bring in their own parts. I use a book for billing times. Most shops use the same book. I do charge a little more because we offer a 1 years parts and labor guarantee. WHEN you buy parts from us not bring them in yourself. The labor time doesn’t get adjusted because of the parts walking in the door via the customer.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Hello,

    Thank you, BBB, for all the help you have given to me.  I believe the notes sent by Hartman are an attempt to just get away with charging what they do.

    They say to "Come in and discuss things with us."  Well, that does not mean they WILL help or WILL NOT help.  Plus, you know as well as I do, that

    service garages mark up the cost of parts to make a profit more than just helping one out to fix their car.  They hate it that I can find the same parts

    on **** with no charge for shipping and they are low priced as a 2005 car is getting more and more scarce so they want to make something off

    their parts on their shelves.  So they mark them down.

    I think you can plainly see that Hartman is only in the business for himself and does not care about the cost to a customer nor a customer *** **

    ** ****** ******** **********.  Otherwise, they would certainly let you at BBB know and they would let me know in this note they sent.  What a

    shame!  So, as everyone tells me, "When someone owns a business, you cannot tell them what to charge.  You either play the entire game their

    way or you don't do business with them."  Again, what a shame!  You would think the government would help a services and products company.

    By offering tax incentives.  But that is only my brain cells telling me this.  Nothing has changed and will not change. 

    If I go in to discuss this topic with them, they will simply tell to my face, "Do it our way or hit the highway!"  Which translates as

    "We don't really care about our customers and what it costs them."  Otherwise, they would say so in this note they sent to you and then to me.

    Thanks again for all your efforts.

    Too bad Hartman is as he is.  He does not realize I gave his company a very good review with full stars as customers don't have to drive over

    20 miles to a larger city to get their cars fixed and serviced.  If he did know, I doubt that would even help him offer better costs on services and

    products.

    Daniel, I help every one of my customers. You can go ask around the ******** ***** and I bet can hit several people I have helped just lately. I am sorry for whatever happened in the past and I hope you come in so I can help. I do run a business and do have to look out for myself or I close my doors.
